That's exactly it, not too keen on spending >3k for a peripheral I'm only going to use on one game (at least for the time being).

yeah well... it was dark

I think it's a destroyed base. as I approached it it said I was entering a restricted area. and there were about 5 Sentries around it, but they were underground.... :wtf:
 
Much fun were had last night as [MENTION=5134]MalicE[/MENTION] and [MENTION=4071]BeoTeK[/MENTION] and myself went and explored Maia a bit. And then got Malice to attempt planetary surface landing. All good times. In the end both Beotek and I managed to badly damage and ultimately blow up our own ships. Well, mine is still okay at 35% hull afaik. Here's some images:

We found a blackhole, which is where beotek and I grouped,

In the end Malice got a bit excited and began boarding... thankfully no penetration was encountered.

I am really relieved to read that [MENTION=5134]MalicE[/MENTION] never did succeed in his penetration and boarding attempts. But yeah, last night was indeed quite a bit of fun. I'm getting addicted to just driving the SRV around and exploring whatever tickles my fancy on planet surfaces.
 
so here's what happened.

I went looking for aliens... things again.

In my search I accidentally came across this ghost base with only a couple of sentries guarding it. But I made quick work of them.




Then quite by accident [MENTION=4071]BeoTeK[/MENTION] tripped over the Barnacles. which was right around the bloody corner from where I found ghost base alpha!




After all that excitement things went pear shaped. [MENTION=4071]BeoTeK[/MENTION] tried to hitch a ride on the Blackadder




and... yeah...... then this happened..........

I only have a 4mbps line, so streaming is a bit slow on it. But it'll be the same as watching a youtube video. It's a good game if you enjoy dismemberment and solid melee with fun parkour mixed into a reasonably detailed open world.
