Official Elite Dangerous Thread

So, can someone please explain to me how this works

As a console player of the game, I've been anxiously waiting for Horizon's arrival, and I come back from traveling to find the DLC is ready and available. So I search the Xbox Live store for Elite Dangerous, and these are the results:

Elite Dangerous Core
Elite Dangerous: Arena Edition
Elite Dangerous: Standard Edition
Elite Dangerous:Commander Deluxe Edition
Elite Dangerous
Elite Dangerous: Commander Pack
Elite Dangerous: Arena
Elite Dangerous: Horizons Season Pass
Elite Dangerous: Horizon Extra Edition.

That is just ludicrous if you ask me

But okay, I take it I only have to choose between the Horizons Extra Edition or the Season Pass edition...

So Season Pass is R249 and Extra Edition is R499, and for the life of me I cannot see what the difference is. I'm so confused.

Think you should just go with Season Pass as Extra Edition I think would include the base game which you already own.

It seems...

The Season Pass is just the DLC.

The Extra Edition is The DLC + 1500 frontier points which can be used to buy paint jobs and bobbleheads.

Buying the Extra Edition makes the 1500 frontier points about £5 cheaper than normal so if you're planning on buying those points anyway, you might as well get the Extra Edition.

Thanks, and at R249 it's also not expensive to get either. I'm dying to visit a planets surface. Just hope I can get some game time in the coming weeks
 
Fek 2.1 is looking so damn good.




Hopefully get some time this weekend to jam a little, problem is I'm about 7,500ly away from inhabited space. :p
 
Had a little play around last night and I must say, I am impressed! The visuals alone now are so mesmerizing and so moody, sets another level higher in terms of the atmosphere of the game.

hahaha.... that's pretty cool. But yeah. happened upon that class A Blue Star, the only one in the system. Also about 8,000LY from Sol. I like to take screens and trying to incorporate my "photography skills" into my in game captures. Though nice to see it be used as a background. It's at least welcoming to see that someone looks at them, sometimes I wonder if post em for naught.
