Official Ghost Recon: Wildlands thread

I'll give ghost recon a skip. It's kak boring solo IMO. And I'm not buying something that I have to rely on other people to play with me to have fun

Really? You don't like it?
It's okay I guess. I like the customization and the ghost recon vibes of orders and stuff. I guess it just feels too much like typical Ubisoft mechanics with all the shit to collect and fetch quests.

I just can't warrant spending the money on a game and have to rely on friends to group up. I just think I'll get real bored with it solo ad I am already. Feels too much like de ja Vue.

I loved it! Sorry for the join and drop Blazzok. I had one crash (and auto report) and reported a bug on the loading screens Friday evening (the first MP I joined, the team leaders nick stuck to the loading screens).

Apart from that we had a blast, in Coop and SP modes, I am sure the game will become more challenging as you progress through the provinces toward The Big Boss. I also noticed some side missions that weren't activated as they are probably cross border ones.

I sure hope there will be some way to quick travel across the provinces as traversing the 21 provinces to complete a quest will become boring.

No worries. I was wondering what the heck happened. I talked back but I don't think you heard me, then you went away all of a sudden.

Is it just me or do the choppers feel kinda slow?
I probably won't be picking up the game either - I have enough on my plate as it is.

I do love though the sense of difficulty. At least in the solo mode that I played I found I was very squishy, which is great. I also really really like the fact that *all* enemies are _kind of_ on the same level. Unlike other games there's no level numbers above enemy heads to let you know you're over/under levelled and no real levelling as such. That being said it does pose more of a challenge as the AI can be a little uhm.... dof at times. I guess this is why the game is so heavily angled at co-op enjoyment.

The cover system and driving is just a balls up, IMO of course.

Yeah, good old Alt+F4, wife was demanding time.

That was my experience also, when you attach a convoy from the air, they sometimes accelerated away from me and I had to cut corners to reaquire. The premise of Shift (Power) and W (Pitch forward) make you dive while keeping W pressed down normally doesn't. This isnt a serious flight sim, Shift + W should make you go forward and up.
Also, the Little Birds with miniguns need a aiming point, pitched down a bit or the ability to ADS somehow.

My furthest sniper kill was around 400 to 500m, did it across the long bridge between the tavern (across the border) and the FOB. Also got another sniper rifle on Friday evening on my way to the Hunting Lodge, had a massive scope on and quite a range, unfortunately it disappeared when I re-spawned so I couldn't really test it.

^^ I hope it lives up to the hype they are making.

Then there is also a documentary being made also alongside the game.

I enjoyed playing the Beta - even when I had finished the missions and side missions I enjoyed travelling around and getting some of the collectibles - even after that I enjoyed just exploring. At one point I was on the run from 2 helicopter, driving a stolen APC on the mountain paths - bullets flying everywhere tearing up the wooden rails and any unlucky civilian passing by.

As with many open world games one of the biggest factors is the world itself - and I'm loving Bolivia with its mountains and fields and jungles. The rain storms are beautiful and I love the effect of the puddles forming on the ground. The world itself is certainly immersive.

It's been a quiet week on this front. Ubisoft said there will be an open beta similar to what For Honor had this last weekend, but it will be closer to the launch date.

In the mean while, here is some developer info on The Cartel
