Steam was the best thing to happen to PC's since MMORPG's!

They really have helped the PC scene, and Steam is A LOT better than Ubi's DRM!
 
So apparently there are a few reviews out already. I've read a couple, but the worst thing in all of them- the campaign is only 4-5 hours long. WTF man. Seriously?

I was just busy reading this review, and it's not sounding very promising. Is anyone here still getting this game to play online?

I watched s video of the online and I have to say it looks very "been there, done that". So it looks like I'm going to pass on this one.
 
I almost got caught up in the hype, but from the reviews it looks like it was all just talk.

First warning sign was Kaos outsourcing the PC version to Digital Extremes and then trying to hype all the PC features that were tacked on.

I think I need to force myself to only buy games after trying the demos, these preorders always bite me in the ass. Pity they don't release demos anymore!

Yes, it hardly looks worth it hey. It's nothing new. I'm sure there will be a lot of new players getting this game. People who never got to play other games like COD etc. But for the guys that want something new this is definitely going to be a waste of money.
 
Oh yeah, saw a thread on Steam. You can buy it for $40 from direct2drive.com with promo code 'hangover'. Don't know if d2d let's Saffricans buy though.

I really needed a fix before Battlefield 3 lands, looks like I'll just have to wait it out or get back into BC2.

I feel the same man. Really wanted something nice to play to keep it going, but this isn't gunna be it. I'm still getting Crysis 2 though, but I really doubt the MP will be as captivating as BFBC2 was for me up until now. I actually still play BC now and again, it's not hard to get into though :p It's still a really cool game.

No shame in getting it dude, if you think you're going to really enjoy it and it would be worth the money, then go for it. For me and lots of other people there just doesn't seem to be anything worth experiencing. :D
