Official Star Citizen Thread

It didn't hang on the installer though, it hanged on the actual game loading screen. Probably took about 5 minutes to load, or that's how it felt.

It was showing the loading animation, so not really a hang, but it does not have any progress indicator.

With all the focus on getting 2.0 working it seems Arena Commander in 1.3 has become hugely unstable as well now.
Yes, 1.3 is pretty unstable. It crashes often. Everyone is waiting on 2.0 which at the moment crashes a lot more.

2.0.0D went out to the Test Universe overnight I see, with some reporting better stability, and others mentioning much of the same situation from the 3 earlier builds. With the Thanksgiving long weekend starting in the States now, I don't see a stable public build going live for a good while still. (Even once it does go live I'm probably still going to hold off until at least a patch or two before downloading, to save on the bandwidth, and to avoid as many of the crash issues as possible.)
 
I don't really have any intention of playing it at the moment until the PTU launches or S41. I'll be more careful next time not to click on it when I make sure everything is updated :D

(Streamer uses some NSFW language in his commentary - seems to particularly enjoy "religious faeces".)

I might be able to hack the feature in, otherwise we are at the mercy of the forum software developer.

By "hack in" I mean create a custom tag, e.g.

No stress. Just a thought I had as I'm seeing decent Twitch videos more often than ever before. It'll be a 'nice to have' eventually.

Up to 1600+ now. Think they're adding a bunch in to give the Aussies a chance to pick some up too. Remember to switch to EUR and get them for €24 and save a bit more (R366 vs R432).

Maybe add the referral codes on the first post, next to the person's name. Mine is STAR-4X9X-NDFV :)

I deleted my old Star Citizen install now, hoping the new installer doesn't have the same problem as previously where a new patch basically required a complete download of the game. So only 33GB to go.

Also I see it atleast downloads at max line speed now, where previously it used to download at 100 - 200 KB/s maximum.
 
I just put it in my cart.... so unsure if I should YOLO this XD
EDIT: Just bought it XD No steam sale for me then.
EDIT2: dammit in my inter mind battle and rush I didn't see the referal codes :(

One thing that the new launcher is doing with me, it stops downloading for no reason and just says "updating". I get it going again by pausing and unpausing the download, but it is weird. Now I'm loathe to leave my PC on for the night to finish the download.

Thanks, believe it or not, i was a new player, so i used your referral too. I knew i was going to get this game eventually, figured i'll wait for an inevitable deal like this closer to a more concrete game.

Also thanks for the euro tip, wouldn't have noticed that :)

86 left when i paid....60 left ....going goin EDIT and all gone
