Old GFX Cards

They very expensive if you can even track them down. Companies obviously don't make old cards any more so you can only really get second hand cards on a regular basis. Those, because of being old and second hand are not really in best of conditions.
Try look around on carbonite forums.

i have a geforce 9800gtx that i want to get rid of.

If you don't mind me asking how old is it and what brand is it. Was it overclocked before? Is it in good condition. How much do you want for it?

What are you going to use the old card for? Maybe a new one will be fine. You get some cheap new ones.

www.carbonite.co.za is a big second hand pc component forum

Thanks. Well I have a few old PC's lying around and I want to build two for my kids. I don't want to give them monster PC's as they will only play things like Surfs Up, Tinkerbell and use paint to draw pictures etc.

its an inno3d 9800gtx, never been overclocked. never gave any problems. still in an awesome condition.

i recon i will let it go for about R250

Sometimes old PC's are more trouble than worth (not just hardware, but drivers as well). But yes, if it is just lying around, there is no harm in trying. Else look for some entry level Motherboards you an later upgrade (for birthday and Christmas presents...)

Old nvidia cards are great for physx dedicated cards... if you have an extra slot and are willing to sacrifice the card for the handful of games that use physx
