Online specials: Steam, Greenman Gaming, GamersGate, etc

Not a sale but this is probably the thread closest to the topic. I notice now in the Steam recommendations they've added a third rating option for the recommendations, "funny". It makes sense with the amount of people getting upvoted because of a humorous comment rather than an informative review.

Some of those comments are hilarious though. I can see people filtering the humorous ones and spending a Friday afternoon at work reading through them.

Would you recommend it to someone who loves games like Dragon Age (Currently replaying Inquisition)?

It's a very different experience. PvE is quite varied a slightly more action oriented and you can solo it quite easily. The amount of content in GW2 is staggering, even after more than 1000 hours I haven't reached 100% map completion.

The skills for each class offer a wide variety and will cater to all play styles as well. PvP is very competitive and you have to know your class (and specific build) intimately.

All in all, it really is very fun!

Thanks for your input :), will be comparing it to ESO and see what comes out on top.

/OT end :p

Back to where it ended:

Guild Wars 2 - 75% off this weekend only https://www.guildwars2.com/en/

GreenManGaming: I know it also has a Steam-like client, but the games activate within Steam so what is the point of their proprietary software?

It's for games that don't activate on Steam. I've only ever used it once when they gave away some games for free.

Couldn't Steam have waited until next month before advertising Bioshock Infinite for so cheap :(

Spent enough money on games this month, can't do more. :o

Don't listen to BeoTeK. It's one of the best games I've ever played. And I've played a lot of games.
