Online specials: Steam, Greenman Gaming, GamersGate, etc

I really enjoy playing that game every once in a while too.

I mainly play on PC, but own a XBox 360 which I touch about once a month. When I first got it, the game I wanted the most, was the sequel, Condemned 2: Bloodshot. I was lucky enough to get it, for free, but havent completed it yet. The part I played felt great, pity it was never released for PC.

As mentioned in the elder scrolls thread, you can get eos online for alot cheaper on green man gamng here
:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/en/pc/games/mmos/elder-scrolls-online/

and using this coupon here: http://venturebeat.com/2014/01/30/e...perial-edition-preorder-nets-a-20-off-coupon/

and pay this:
The Elder Scrolls® Online: Imperial Edition - PC $64.00
Payment type: PayPal
Savings: -$15.99
Total $64.00

You can do the same with the Standard Edition .

Use it, don't use it. Note it is USD where if you buy directly from Zenimax it will be in EUR and costing a freaking fortune!

The coupon worked as of 12 March. There is 25% discount vouchers out there too.

Whats eos online? :D

Elder scrolls online. I've played the beta, and I'm not impressed. It's not "elder scrolls" enough if that makes sense. Nothing to distinguish it from the run-of-the-mill MMORPG atm. If they don't do something drastic we'll all be able to play it 6 months from release date when they go F2P.

Having played just Skyrim & watched some EOS youtubes I can't help but agreed. It doesn't seem even remotely similar in vibe?

Sorry, yes i was dyslexic , The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO is the correct abbreviation) ... or for the offline gamers, "Skyrim Online" . So yea, the first 6 or so levels certainly does not quite feel Skyrim/Oblivion like, but once i hit the mainland (Daggerfall i believe is where you start getting off the starter islands and go on the mainland) it did start to feel like Tamriel to me . I mean, it's the same races and the ruins/caves all look and feel like it is in Skyrim (i.e. the dwarven ruins etc). Also the whole thing with the icons on your compass (ruins/caves/towns) is working identical. The Mage/Thief/Fighter guilds are there too etc.

The class system and combat is different by a large margin though. They tried to make it feel like skyrim combat, but in the end it's more like WoW . Also you can't do the "build your own character" thing, and basically back to a WoW'ish class system, and this is probably where they deviate alot from the classic Elder Scrolls game.

Either way, i'm not hyping the game, i think it's pretty much cookie cutter MMO, and quite expensive at that, hence posting the special. I will play it for a few months of course, simply because i've burned through all the other MMOs currently active and just need something new .

Kingdom of Amalur collection at gamersgate going for 75% off

Wasn't it cheaper on Steam sale in Feb?

I am sure I only paid $7.99 for the game + all DLC's

Edit: Nevamind, thats the UK edition, that you download from Gamersgate (NOT a Steam version)

Guess you can register and download via Origin as well. Not that I would opt for it as I still recon Steam > Origin.

Edit: Well what do you know... My Steam version had a CD key on the side that I could redeem on Origin as well, thanks for mentioning Origin else I would never have checked. Could not get keys for the DLC but who cares. :D

Get a free copy of Super Sanctum TD at GMG. Note that if you have already linked your Steam account with Playfire in the past, you can still enter for the free game. You just won't have to link your accounts. :)

Some of the notable Steam weeklong specials that I didn't see mentioned are 50% off everything MDK.
You can get MDK 2 HD for $7.49 or the Original MDK 1 & 2 combo pack for $7.49.

Also, Doctor Who: The Adventures are now on steam and 10% off. It may be worth waiting a bit to see if it doesn't hit a sale @ 50% or more some time.

Have you tried MDK on steam. I'm always weary of older games on steam after commandos ran like trash.

Haven't tried it, no. But MDK 2 HD is on my wishlist and I may just decide to get that one. I'll keep you posted if I do.
