The ANC is the only political party which can deliver economic freedom, its deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa said on Tuesday.

"Only the ANC can deliver economic freedom, no other party or organisation in this country can do so," Ramaphosa told members of the African National Congress Youth League at the party's 69th anniversary in Johannesburg.

He said the ANC depended on the ANCYL to champion the fight for economic transformation.

TL;DR ... I got as far as the headline and fell off my chair laughing. After composing myself I am now able to categorically refute that statement. In the 19 years that they have been in control of the country, they have stuffed the economy up six-love. Perhaps under a different president and completely different cabinet, wholesale replacement of all party members in and out of parliament, yeah, then maybe.

Generally speaking, and I am sure there might be one exception I haven't heard of yet, everything they have touched in recent times has turned foul and become a tangled mess. Corruption and fraud is tolerated openly. Cronyism and nepotism is the best candidate for succession planning. Only the in-people will get posts and deployed. No cadre who is intolerant of sloth, fraud, corruption or the like is kept long.

In short, Cyril, you are completely brainwashed if this is what you believe. Or are you also twerking to Jacob's tune?

Of course he is - he's one of the primary ANC billionaire beneficiaries.
Without the ANC, he's nothing.
 
Being part of the ANC is a get rich as quick as I can and screw the rest of the country scheme. Yes, I love SA. But seriously, the people in power do not.
