Opinion : Prototype

I enjoyed it.

Its very similar to playing as Venom in Ultimate Spider-man, expect more challenging. Not too bad a game.

It was above average for me (7/10)

Negatives:
The city/game world was very samey and uninspiring.
Side missions were shallow, repetitive, glorified time trials.
Some missions where fun and awesome, but others were repetitive tasks within the mission (e.g. go to checkpoint A and destroy tanks/helicopters/water tower, go to checkpoint B and tanks/helicopters/water tower, go to checkpoint C and destroy tanks/helicopters/water tower).
It looks like Alex is wearing hoodie over a shirt with popped collar. WTF!?

On the whole the experience was somewhat enjoyable, yet shallow, and I felt unsatisfied when I finished it. I wouldn't give it a second play through.

I agree, for the most part.

The environment gets redundant, the story is shallow and it really does feel like a cheap; short thrill when you're done with it. But, surprisingly, I enjoyed it :) The character is fun to play with and is just awesome to watch him leave destruction in his wake.

I liked it :)

I enjoyed it but will not play it again I will say its a game worth trying for its destruction.

And it looks crappy on my 23" (the game's max resolution sucks) besides the pixelation I dident injoy it much, its still on my pc but havent touched it for a couple of weeks

It looked fine on mine, had the normal clipping issue here and there. Nothing major, looked ok, not brilliant, but i wouldn't say crappy.

I dunno, its max resolution is 1280x800 and my screen wants 1920x1080, I think if it had the option to run windowed it might be a bit better.

I don't know about it, considering from what I've heard. Obviously there are alot of mixed opinions, but the talk that sparked most concern to me is that it's quite repetitive. Worst thing in a single player game imo is it turning monotonous and as said above, repetitive. Can anyone comment on this?

Very repetitive o.o
I stopped playing when I realized I've circled the entire city several times and if I so much as farted, everyone behind me would be blown away into the ocean. *shrugs* I enjoyed it for a while but it got boring.

It's mindles chaos, but very enjoyable mindless chaos.
Not the deepest or prettiest game, but definately worth a go.

I find some enjoy it more than others, and I am one of those people.

I bought it after reading the review in NAG... they gave it 89 if I'm not mistaken...
IMHO it's definately not a 89 game... its short fun, and has it moments, but it looses its appeal very quickly and gets super repetitive :( If they gave you more to do when running around the city and better sub missions, it would've helped alot. And having to do the same type of mission over and over and over again doesn't realy help this game

If you can have fun in doing the EXact same things for every mission... Then its your game... Lots of mayhem...
