Opinion: Reality Bites

Hehe, nice list. I agree with those that I've remotely touched. The Crysis part is true and funny.

I bought Crysis at release... Did not bother to play it for no specific reason.
A few weeks ago I decided to see what it was like...
Uninstalled it when I got to the Alien part. That game really did nothing for me.

Lies, Path of Neo and Crysis was amazing, floating in Zero-G in an independance day type environment was the highlight of the Crysis Campaign.

Path of Neo had one of the most fun innovative combat systems ever, although you needed a gamepad to truly play it. Game was truly ingenious, but the blur, copy protection, one or two awful+buggy stages turned people away quick.

I enjoyed crysis up until the aliens, mainly because you dont get to do random fun with aliens, shield mode and the special guns are the only way to really kill them. And the ending on the aircraft carrier is one of the more awesome endings in fps today.

I think if the suit had more power in the other modes [speed, stength, stealth] it could be ALOT more fun though

Nice read. Agree with all of them, especially the star wars one.
I got Crysis once my PC could run it at a comfortable setting to see what the fuss was about. Its an ok fps but i think it didn't reward as much as other fps's ive played. I stoped right after the alien ship, mostly coz i was busy enjoying STALKER Clear Sky.

I disagree with Path of Neo. I got it for Original Xbox way back at release. Was fun and had a nice combat system. Yes there where some bugs but nothing game breaking. Like Azimuth said the Matrix was totally over hyped and slightly over rated so the game was never going to be Truly epic. Wouldn't mind seeing someone else use that same combat system, updated of course, for something new.

I enjoyed Crysis. It might not be nearly as good as Bioshock for instance but it was fun. I got a bit queasy inside the alien ship though. It felt like such an achievement after beating the end boss thing. :) The list is good and funny though.

Ok I can agree with the list up to a point where u included Matrix - Path of Neo. I thoroughly enjoyed that game very much and I replayed it about 2 more times just to try all the other different moves and ways of fighting. Yeh the movies may have faded out considerably however you also have to take into account they designed the game way better after a release of the movies, unlike Ironman where that I can say was very traumatizing but ja thats my 2c. :)

Only game i can comment on on the list is crysis. The only above average thing about it is the graphics/physics other than that i would give it 5 out of 10. where Cod4 that come same time would be a 10.

Cod was so awesome coz it had a brilliantly and coherent story. Where as the story in Crysis was... was there a story? Also CoD would run on most systems at a decent rate. You didn't have to mortgage your house to upgrade you pc so that you CPU and GPU wouldn't go into epileptic fits everytime u put the DVD in the Rom. Crysis is like the Bugati Veyron (Or how ever u spell it.) Useless for any fact other than to be the best looking (or in the Bugati's case, fastest) game out there.

And the other thing that made crysis bad was was over hyped where cod4 was just there and did far better job

The thing is, for me anyways, making this awesome looking game that needed the latest and gr8est tech to run has never been the mark of truly gr8 developer. Making an awesome looking game that every system in almost any house around the world could play, that is the mark of a truly gr8 dev.

I disagree with Crysis and Force unleashed.

Yes both were huge cash-ins, big budget and not amazing games, but they are uniquely thier own.

I enjoyed crysis because it felt like more far cry, only more awesome. The gameplay was fun, however did get repetitive. The finale on the aircraft carrier was most definately one of the most awesome in the FPS genre (aside from XIII :D)

Force unleashed was over-hyped, but how can a star-wars game not be? Yes I'm a star wars fan boy, and although I'm still waiting for a solid Lightsaber weilding game, the force unleashed wasn't too bad of an attempt.
