Opinions about AMD FX8350??

The AMD FX8350 is a octacore 4.0Ghz processor.
Basically I have read that this is a rubbish low quality processor that doesn't give quality performance.
I was going to get one of these for myself and then I saw some news on another forum.
Apparently it over heats before it even reaches 100% cpu usage.
It draws more power than it claims and it can damage your motherboard permanently.
Just giving a warning to people who see this as an option to buy.
First do some of your own research on this issue
:)

That's rubbish! If it was that bad we wouldn't recommend it. It is a great value for money CPU, don't compare it to Intel's low power CPU's.
Basically I would recommend getting an after-market heatsink but you don't have to.

I have this core and everything that u said is BS...
It performes exactly as required and has never caused any issues

I am looking to get this CPU

Only problem is the price in RSA?

NewEGG: $200 vs. the $240-$250 for intel 4670k

In RSA: R2700-R2800 for AMD vs R2700-R2800 for intel 4670K??

Where did the $40-$50 price difference go?

HAAALP :)

I have no idea where the prices came from. If they cost the same amount, your choice will be based on what you are going to be using the CPU for. If it is gaming get the 4670K, if it is media encoding and media work which can utilise the extra cores of the 8350, get the 8350 :)

On RebelTech's website the 4670K is +-R100 more. You choice :D

P.S Look at the selection of motherboards you want which work with the CPU's socket types. EG LGA 1150 or AM3+.
