Personally I have only seem Gravity, and can fully appreciate all the Oscars that the movie won. I do feel that, as ever year, the Oscars goes to movies that were a bit too nuvou for my taste.

I just cant believe how many people want dickcaprio to win an Oscar...

Its almost like no one is congratulating the guy that did win :D

I really didn't enjoy that wolf on wall street most overrated movie ever. Was just about him binging on drugs :-/

Yea but its a true story, the amount of money they were making and all the drugs they were doing etc

I cant take anything away from Matthew McConaughey though, apparently he was amazing in Dallas Buyers club, you can see how much weight he lost for it also

I haven't even heard of 12 Years a Slave before the Oscars. I usually go through a period before the Academy awards where I watch all the nominees before the ceremony, but this year I missed it completely. I will just have to go and watch more movies it seems.

You will want to be careful with the word EVER, it makes you sound like a little boy boasting in a sandpit. Leo should have won many an oscar for previous movies

Excuse me? It barely went into detail on the actual business. If I want to see a drug binge movie I would of watched Fear and loathing in las vegas.

I like leo but I personally thought this wasn't his best roll.

Did you leave behind your little spade and bucket, no worries mommy will buy you a new one. Yes leo is good and I agree he has had better roles but if you consider wall street to be most overrated movie ever then you might not have watched that many films?

I feel bad for Leo but maybe now he'll open himself up to broader roles and not simply sign up for another film where he wears a suit with slicked-back hair and plays more-or-less the exact same character he played in his last 10 films. Nothing against his acting, but his range has so far been portrayed as very limited :/

Like to insult people yet you brag how you spent daddies travel money.

Haha touchy tsar touchy tsar, it could be a song.

Sorry sir I was not insulting, just pointing a finger and laughing. Daddy gives money to spend, I spend money, I say I spent daddys money. Not bragging.

He started it! haha. Not intentional brendan, just don't like the childish 'EVER' comments people are so fond of. Is that something you enjoy?

This isnt gonna end well man, give it a rest.

Regarding Wolf of Wall Street, they did go into some detail on the business, its just hard to pick up because theres always so much going on in the movie.

What they were eventually doing is having all his partners buy up a shitton of the cheap stocks, then he would go out and have his team of a couple hundred brokers go crazy on selling that share, have them shove it down peoples throat and get everyone to buy it, when the price then rises substantially him and his partners would sell their stocks they bought when it was cheap and make a mountain of money. Then the price would normalize leaving alot of people with a big loss.

That's sort of a quick overview of the way they did it.
