Oscar Pistorius: fame to shame

South African amputee sprinting star Oscar Pistorius is due in court on Monday to face charges he deliberately shot dead his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day.

I can't believe this guy ruined his life so quickly. Hopefully justice will be given to the Steenkamp family.

Tragic end to a young lady who was such an inspiration to many around her. Grim. Grim. Grim.

His cocky behaviour in the year before this whole story happened indicates that he thought he was untouchable. There were stories in the news last year from his x girlfriend saying what a prick he was and how he mistreated her. Sad that something as bad as the death of another person is what it took to bring him down to earth a bit.
