Oscar Pistorius accidentally fired a gun shot in a busy Melrose Arch restaurant in Johannesburg in January, narrowly missing a friend's foot, Beeld reported on Monday.

The bullet almost hit the foot of Kevin Lerena, a boxer and mutual friend of Oscar Pistorius and Reeva Steenkamp.

"I got a huge fright, because the bullet hit the ground just centimetres from my foot ... but it really was just a freak accident," Lerena told Beeld.
 
Hi James, i love the work you guys do and i am still a newcomer to mygg. But in all honesty we are hearing alot of this stuff all over the place. I know its my choice not to click a thread but the Off Topic section is starting to look like an Oscar Celebrity gossip page.

I really mean no harm just sharing a thought.

Are you going to report on the 'gunshot-like noises' that came from the bathroom the night after he ate curry next?

Ja, I feel the same way. I thought sensationalism was Lazygamer's bag.
 
I don't go to news sites at all so I actually like the fact that I get a bit of the news here too. Might be worth looking into having a 'non gaming news' section?
 
I get to the site, go to "What's New", so it won;t matter in which dark corner of MyGaming this news is put in....
