Played 18 games tonight on level 8 now. Game is perfect for me matches doesn't drag on forever and the heroes is so much different and unique it really is a well put together game.

Blizzard did it again did not really notice any lag even with the meathook on roadhog.

You really need a decent team composition otherwise you are screwed. Most of my games went like 3 out of 6 in the team chose Bastion because he is a noob cannon so you end up with no tank no healer.

Every hero has a counter Bastions counter is genji because he can just reflect the thousands of turret bullets and easily dispatch bastion so not sure why all the hate.

Game is balanced and for a beta it runs amazingly smooth.

Pretty fluid but not quite on the same level of instantaneous responsiveness as TF2. The jumps in particular feel a little weird. Probably just some getting used to it needed - its close enough in terms of responsiveness. Certainly better than the recent BFs and CoDs.

Don't see a way to join a particular server? Or even the usual TAB key scoreboard (or am I going insane?)

Balancing is looking promising. Lets hope they add loads more heroes. :D

Will def play more of the beta & don't think I'll get bored soon. Got like 500 hours on TF2 so this should make for a good facelift so to speak.

But with that price-tag purchase will probably have to wait a bit. Maybe if I get a good bonus I'll treat myself. :)

I was most surprised by how well it hides the latency, even though it was hovering around 160ms. Game feel great to play and its a joy to looks at. Looking forward to trying it some more. :)
 
Love this game unfortunately I am not at home this weekend so only played last night.

Was pumped was about to go preorder and then BAM!

Cheaper to buy it from Blizzard in the USD pricing. Unless you MUST have the Origins edition (why??).
 
I'm seriously considering getting this now.

Funny enough I found playing on PS4 a lot easier than playing on PC, maybe people are just far superior in their skills on PCMR?
I was able to get up to a 30 kill streak and not die during games; on PC though I am lucky if I can get 5 kill streak with the same hero.
 
I'll give this a go over the weekend to check it out, but even if I enjoy it I'll probably wait for a special (which with Blizzard may take a while)

I couldn't play this well with a controller. I do pretty good with Soldier76, racked up multiple 30+ killstreaks playing as him.
 
but hard playing with 600+ ping. going try bit more over weekend but look like fun game just wish was cheaper

Definitely no mad skills on the PC side...think I clocked about 1:1 kd on my first match...without playing the tutorial. And I'm not exactly a FPS god...

I can't explain it to be honest, it's just easier on PS4.


Also, I think BaTouSai was referring to PS4 too.
 
Played a few more games on PS4 and while it's a lot of fun, I still don't feel like this game is worth R899/R999. The different characters are awesome and help to change things up, but the game modes are all very bland and similar and this will get old fast IMO. I could be completely wrong of course, only judging on what I've played, I have not been reading up on or watching videos about this game at all. Maybe one day when it goes on sale I will buy it. I will definitely not buy this close to release. Especially not since I already have Battleborn and still prefer that to this. It's a good game though and it definitely feels like a Blizzard game in terms of polish, even for a beta.

it should have been free to play. I played a couple of hours and I'm already bored with it. The only variety the game has is in the loot boxes and those only give you cosmetics.

OK...some more playing and its definitely not just flooded. Something is definitely very fk'd about the netcode on this thing. I'm regularly getting packet loss, rubberbanding and ping rarely drops below 100. And thats on a European fibre connection with servers not too far away so I don't understand how thats even possible.

Not a chance I'm buying this until thats fixed.
 
The game is quite fun an fluid, I haven't noticed much lag, or other issues.
Pretty well made game.

But it's more expensive than any other proper game out there :wtf:

No single player.. no story, nothing. The game is VERY much the same round after round. After a few matches it's easy to take a break and just go do something else. So what exactly are we paying an arm and a leg for?

That's very strange. I'm not sure where to check ping but I have not once thought that I was unjustly killed due to netcode or lag. I have experienced no latency, lag or rubber banding. I am loving this game and can see myself digging [-]my grave[/-] many hours into this. Seriously considering the purchase, and the price doesn't bother me at all as I know it will be worth the entertainment.

Another brilliant release from Blizzard.
