Hey pp

I just thought I would finally turn to you guys and girlz as im having this issue... My colleague brought his PC to me as I work with fixing hardware everyday... but this specific issue has got me in a box and I dunno what else can cause the issue...

It started off his Sata HD would not boot up so i decided to reset the bios and the motherboard settings and start all over again.... then I plugged the sata back in and all of a sudden the motherboard trips itself and shutsdown all of a sudden but after about 20-30seconds....

If anyone has an alternative solution pls let me know.... Im also trying to find the autoshutdown safety feature that works when there is a prob with the motherboard.

Thanks ;)

So, if you remove the drive, is the pc working perfectly? Can you try a different sata drive?

I disconnected the Sata HD, DvDrom and all USB adapters...

Have you tried using a different power supply?

I did try another PSU but still its as though the CPU is overheating but its stone cold.... and the safety power trip only happens after as i said 20-30 seconds after you boot up....:confused:

I dunno mate, sounds like a MB problem... if it still resets itself with everything but the RAM and processor unplugged, its normally time to send the stock in for replacement.

Might be worth testing a different CPU and diff RAM if you have available?
