The new talents require for consecration etc to use attack power and holy damage. Will be tough getting strength and spell damage up, as both are separate class and gear attributes.

Anyone else a bit worried about this?

I need to know how this has turned out now since this thread was made in August 2008. I posted it here now as it looks like everyone moved over to this forum :p
 
I always got a little bit annoyed with people saying Druids or Paladins are better tanks than warriors...

Druids and Paladins can tank and in some instances they're better, but Warriors have a much bigger range for what they can tank.

Either way, I'm sure Blizzard won't nerf Protection Paladins. If they do, it'll kick up enough stink for it to be addressed in a future patch.
 
Paladin tanking so far has been fine in WoLK.

Got my pally geared up in mostly rep blues, a few crafted blues and slowly replaced them with purples. Using the level 76-80 crafted tanking gear and the stuff bought from rep vendors I was able to be fully crit immune long before looking at Nax.

From Jan I was tanking in Nax, sometimes MT sometimes OT with no issues whatsoever. Did not battle for agro or anything. Infact more the opposite. I pulled agro a lot when I was supposed to be OT. Granted though Nax is a pally's wet dream will all the undead / deamons in there.

I can't comment much after Nax as I stopped playing at the end of Jan after we had cleared Nax several times.

I won't go as far as saying that Pallys are better tanks then warriors, but I will say that I would much rather do an instance with a Pally tank then any other. I don't know about other servers, but I found with ours, petty much every instance we did was AOE tank and nuke. CC just was not used at all, even in heroics. I saw very few warrior tanks, except the few in the guild and even they pretty much just tanked everything with no cc. The only time I used CC in WoLK was doing a heroic run where our healer sucked (was a healer from the guild and she sucks at healing) and just could not keep up.
 
From my little WoW experience Palas should not really compete with Warrios on that front, but be close.
