Oh about finding out time? Exciting times!

What are you going with if it's a girl? Leia maybe? C3PO?

Don't tell me you're going to find out the sex?!

If it was a girl we were going to go with Arya.

You write down 10 names, you wife writes down 10 names, then put them in a list, randomize the list and roll a d20...pick whatever you roll and stick to it.

Hahaha yes we are!!! =D

We did something similiar ... but not as randomized we used elimination so we scored each others lists and then took the top 5 from each (some did overlap) and took the score based on those 5 :p

Well first day at the new nursery school seems to have gone well. He apparently cried on and off, but on the whole had a good day and coped better than most of the other kids. He didn't cry when we picked him up, he just smiled and said "Hi mom, hi dad!", and he seems to be his happy self, so looks like this school is going to be better than the last one.

The teachers must have had a day from hell though, it's the first day of a brand new school, so all the kids are new, and there was a lot of crying and screaming going on when we got there.

Great to hear matt
And that's to he expected, he's being tossed into the deep end per se and all new to him, out of his comfort zone. And don't worry about the school and being able to cope with crying kids, after all, it's what you pay them for. As long as you and the missus are happy with where he is and you have that piece of mind.

MMMMmm.. did our scan a few days back... Doc says the sex of the baby is 50/50... but if he would have to a bet on it then he would say a boy!
Sooo Hoping for a boy, then his name will be Anakin!! =D Will only be a few a few weeks old then we can go watch the new Star Wars movie!!

Yassus okes, just hit the 1o week mark. Oh my fudge this having baby business is hectic, so hectic.
Its getting better now but jeez chaps........

endless sleepless nights and poor chap has colic. when your kid cries for hours on end with cramps your heart breaks several times a day, it sucks but he is slowly growing out of it. Then there's nappy rashes and thrush to deal with. Its a wonder my kid is surviving.

It seems that no matter how many books you read or advice you take, no matter how prepared you think you may be..you are never fully prepared and it literally has been a new stuff up everyday for the last 10 weeks.
At least I haven't dropped him:D

Oe of the best pieces of adivce I can give you is to just keep in mind. YOUR CHILD IS NOT FUCKING MADE OF GLASS!

Ha, sure. Try have any new parent worth their salt act tough with their kid. Not going to happen.

I meant it purely as something to keep in mind (not directed at you or meant to insult), and while I agree with you, you will look back later and think to yourself he/she is not actually as fragile as you would think or how you reacted.

My statement was purely made as a means of looking back and a realization.

Ok thanks man, I appreciate it. I blame my sensitivity on lack of sleep:o

Ah prolonging the uncertainty. Our boy wasn't shy at all about showing his junk for the scans, but he wouldn't let us get a good look at his face when we did the 4D scan. Hopefully you'll be able to tell at the next visit though.

So...it looks like my boy is starting to walk. Taking a single step and then face planting.

That's cool, how old is he now? Kids are amazing how they learn things, he'll be all unsteady now but I bet he'll suddenly figure it out, and from then on there'll be no stopping him. Once they are properly mobile, things start getting really interesting.

Ya dude, no matter how much you think you understand and how much you scoff when other parents say you can't know until you have your own, you really don't.

I think the first 3 months or so are the most hectic though, so hopefully it'll start getting a bit easier soon.

Colic does sound hectic, I'm really glad my kid didn't have that. We use stuff called Behoedmiddel, which helps for winds, colic, stomach aches, etc (in case you don't already have some). Looks like this, and you can get it in any baby isle.

Just past the 10 month mark, and is already a handful with the crawling and standing up against stuff, being able to reach things on top of other things. Putting things (especially food) on top of chairs and then standing and eating off the chair.

He's also started interactive play where i roll a ball to him, he picks it up and throws it back so I can roll it back to him. Mom is being called "mom" and I'm "Dada", all dogs are "Do" and cats are "Ka"...balls are "Ba" so we're getting there with the talking as well.
