So this is what my laaitie insists on doing now when he's supposed to be going to bed
And his other new thing is when I'm reading him his bed time stories, he normally gives me his bottle when it's done, but now he'll still have some tea left, and he says "Tea done Daddy!" and holds his bottle out for me, but when I reach for it, he takes it back and goes "Hahahahaha! Trick on Daddy!"

oh man, a year younger, my boy just turned 3 in March. They get awesome now, I'm really in love with lightie now, we take on the world together.

Ya that's quite a bit younger. But he's getting more awesome all the time, it's really a lekker age. The only thing is the increase in tantrums and the want this, then don't want it thing. That's probably the terrible twos thing everyone goes on about I guess.

Or they want a banana, then when they get it they don't want it. Fuck that pisses me off!

So my boy has finally started walking properly and now it's a mission to keep him under control. Everything has to be done "in motion" or "standing up". Feeding is like a hit and run, run to the spoon take a bite, run a lap around the living room and come in for another bite. Bathing is done standing up. Diaper changes has to be done standing up.
So ampt that his 1st birthday is coming up though.

Awesome man... at least he'll be able to enjoy his birthday a bit more. Make the birthday about him!
I feel that too often we as parents make and theme the birthdays around what the parents want and end up being an excuse for the parents to have fun.

The party will be all fish and balls...two things he enjoys. Taking him to the aquarium as well sometime between his party and his birthday.

Fun activity for him in a ball pit is chucking as many balls as he can in as many directions as possible while laughing at the adults trying to get the balls back in the ball pit.

Ah cool man, now things get really interesting, and baby-proofing the house becomes a lot more hectic.
We just had my kid's 2nd birthday, what a lot of work. My wife put in a ton of effort though and kids and adults seemed to enjoy it, more about the kids though.

Yeah, I'll have to get super strong baby proofing stuff though. Seems like the little walkietalkie can rip the stick on stuff with double sided tape off.
