Parental Corner

Yeah I understand, but he has so many toys as it is, half of which are broken and or otherwise. Though he still plays with em.

Yup, plane with broken wing...still flies...car with two wheels can still ramp and crush other cars. Love the imagination of kids

So not LEGO? :3

My brother and I never collected anything, all our monies went into buying new Lego and expanding our collection. The more parts/blocks you have the more stuff you can build.
my mom had to buy us different coloured lego's as we would take each others legos cause we would constantly try and compete who had more lego's... if she could find different coloured one she would mark them with a soldering iron(we quickly learnt that black marker can be scraped off)

My daughter is luckily still only in the watching weird, age appropriate, stuff on youtube.

Ah kids are funny, a couple my boy has come up with lately...

We told him that it's cold outside, and he said "Yes, and there's gravity outside!"

And "When I grow up, I want to be an alien!"

My boy is just over a year now and is a blatant drummer in the making. Its my fault, I love drums and watch a lot of drum covers on youtube and now its all he is interested in. Its actually awesome though.

He has even adopted drumsticks.

Im also quite a bit into metal and I was listening to some the other day when my wife called me to come see something. Lo and behold he was head banging to what I was listening too.

I now know what true pride feels like.

edit*I filmed it, I must get it on here somehow

That's awesome man, my son just climbs in the car and cranks it up as a have decent sound in the car and he pumps the sub, then say to me "it's doef doef music"

Think I need to introduce him to some metal \m/

So I called my son outside the other night, as the sky was so clear, and we sat staring and gazing upon the stars. He turns to me and says, "We live on planet earth, and earth is in the milky way... earth is also the third planet from the sun".

Hahaha.... Cody is about the same.

Though I've only started collecting Blu-ray's for him.

Have you thought about the classics or from Disney's Gold Vault collection? Things like Beauty and the Beast, Aristocats, 101 Dalmations...

The ones I'm struggling to find is Aristocats, 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, Treasure Island, Alice in Wonderland, The Sword and the Rose, The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron

Have to add that its mostly the grandparents that buy DVDs for him, they like spoiling

DVD or Blu-ray? We have them here, in store, pretty sure.

I have bought him Fox and The Hound, 101 Dalmatians, still looking for Aristocats (iirc).

Doesn't Disney also have a policy that they only release them like every 10 year cycle or when they've aged 10 years? I distinctly remember something like that.

They have a funny release cycle as they have Limited Issue, Gold, Gold Classic, Collectors, Platinum, Diamond, Special Edition, Treasures, Legacy, Masterpiece, Vault and Special Editions.

They seem to pick 3-9 titles twice a year at random and churn out something. Kid does not care about having a tin case, 2-DVD/Blu-ray edition with commentary, deleted scenes, storyboards, the making of and other crap. All he wants is the movie in 16:9 (as he thinks the TV is broken if it has black lines) and sound that plays.
