PC cleanup

I cleaned my pc this morning: removing a few big things, blowing all the dust out with my wife's hairdryer:) I also removed the CPU's fan and heatsink, and cleaned it.
Bought some thermal paste, cleaned the surfaces, applied paste (mini-pea size) refitted everything, waited about 30minutes and turned my pc back on. It's working fine, but it beeped frequently for about 5 minutes.
It is quiet now. Should I worry?

I don't know. Only turned it on once after my cleaning spree. It beeped almost every second, could've been longer.

But it stopped now, after about 5 minutes. PC still working fine:)

Any way you could try restarting it so we can see if it does it again?

Yeah, depending on the BIOS/Motherboard make, different POST beeps are code for different things so the number of beeps and length of beeps and gaps are important, even if its a "continuous beep forever" it has a meaning behind it. 99% of the time its usually RAM related, in which case the fix is just to reseat them and be on your way. :)

if you removed your ram did you put them back in the same slots, also when it beeps does it post anything
