Random QTE event pops up! Press Y + B.
You dead...

The GUI's of ported games is almost always designed just with the Xbox360 controller in mind. That and the black variant of the xbox controller had all it's flaws fixed. It's just a very good hassle free controller.

If you still have to look at your buttons first you're dead anyway. I know by now where the xbox equivalent buttons are on my ds3 incase of emergency QTE.

You don't hold it, it's suppose to substitute your keyboard. So it has all the WASD keys plus spacebar and a few function keys all built in such a way as to make them easier to reach.

So you would use that plus a mouse.

Maybe not even a mouse. Note the analogue stick on the right side.

Any 3rd person game is better with a controller IHMO. Xbox one works really really well.

Not all though, depends how much aiming one needs to do. I played Max Payne 3 with mouse & keyboard, more aiming and shooting. Sleeping dogs again I played with a controller, more fighting, combos etc.

This. I played War for Cybertron with a controller, but played Splinter Cell: Conviction with the ol' keyboard and mouse combo...

Here's a few from my Steam list:

Darksiders
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 1&2
Dirt 3
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Tomb Raider: Legend
Shift 2 Unleashed
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
LIMBO
Bastion
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Super Meat Boy (<--THIS!)
Psychonauts

and the list goes on...

Devil May Cry
Crysis2 (Just because the rumble is so well done in that game)
Dark souls
Skyrim (With SkyUI, interface designed for mouse works 10 times better for the controller too...) - Sneaky Assassin plays better.
Sonic Generations
Assassins Creed
Prototype

Again the rumble and the ability to control how fast your character moves is why I prefer to use the controller in singleplayer games. Oh and the comfort...

The only time I use mouse/keyboard these days is when I play games like SC2 and HoN online.

Thanks... I will give one of those games a try sometime.
Dark Siders however I find much easier (or rather playable) on PC. I got it included when I bought my PS3, but bought it afterwards on Steam due to too much effort with the controller.

I realise though that the issue is with me. These hands grew up with M+K and don't adapt easily to change. Even my keyboard is like 10 years old because I couldn't find a keyboard with the exact same layout as my current one. :)

Yup, for the games that utilise it well, XBOX 360 controller thumbs up from me as well.

Used it for:
Batman (AA and AC)
Assassins Creed
Prince of Persia

Planning to use it with Darksiders 2 (as soon as it arrives)
