How can people rejoice over a game with no news about it just because its pc exclusive.

I only blame Consoles / console development for all the dumbed down bug ridden crappy ports we get. It won't ever change so you won't regularly see me participating in PC VS Console battles. I own a (broken) PS3, PS2,PS1,Xbox and PSP myself so

Yup, 'PC Exclusive' has become nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Just look at Hard Reset. Everyone was shitting their pants in anticipation because it was supposedly a PC exclusive, but then it turned out to be nothing more than a bog-standard FPS.

Graphics. We're excited over whatever game it is due to Epic's prowess in GRAPHICS. A PC exclusive game should be able to throw out the rule book over how much graphics need to be dumbed down to run on 6 year-old consoles. This game could potentially be DX 10/11 native, running Unreal Engine 3.5 or 4.0 while using all 4-8 threads of your CPU. It might make Crysis look like a game from last decade

Normally a PC exclusive game wouldn't get me excited... I'm just happy to be getting it on PC, be it exclusive or not. The only plus side here is that Epic will be developing it which might mean Unreal or a similar kind of game.

IMO the whole original idea behind the platform exclusives were to give the one console a boost over the other in terms of marketing. A PC can't be classified as a console in this instance so the term "PC Exclusive" doesn't mean much to me except that they may be too lazy to develop it for all platforms or perhaps they are using technology that isn't available on consoles, but then a lot of PCs might also not be able to run it.
