I think we had a 28.8K modem before we eventually got a 56K one. It's weird how that sound sticks in your head though, I don't even have to play that video to almost be able to hear the Kggggg bading bading bading

i only had a 33.6 modem and a 56k one, to stop the modem from making the dailup sound what i did was put a headaphone jack into the port on the modem

my friend couldnt do that cause his modem didnt have the audio out and mic jacks

or you could just change the connect string to add either M0 or M=0 or something like that to make the modem silent

i wasnt that technically inclined back then, all i knew was to make the modem silent so that my mom wouldnt hear it

I think this is exactly what happened, causing a time loop paradox thingy. It would explain why I'm feeling so exhausted lately.
