Pc or Xbox

Okay I haven't shared my opinion on this debate, so here it is:
PC best for graphics, strategy, FPS and RPG games
Xbox more fun for racing games, group games (like Fifa)

Games are cheaper on pc.
I find Mulitplayer works better on the xbox.

Yes indeed, the price of console games are absurd. Which is why I missed out on a couple of great titles last year. But I'm catching up on my new pc. I also find multiplayer better on Xbox.

personally I couldn't keep up with prices on new xbox games. I'd suggest going pc and getting a decent controller for games that may require that. a PC just offers so much more in terms of utility anyway

RB, we are talking from a gaming point of view, dont throw Office and Outlook into the mix. Xbox give more when it comes to gaming, finish. I am recently converted Xbox player. Cant wait for the new Xbox Avenger controller, then I wont need my PC for gaming ever agian.

I believe context is key here. For me, personally, I've always preferred consoles, but with the current generation, there really aren't many benefits above the PC. Always online, constant patching, mandatory installs... these used to be the reasons one would buy a console instead of a PC, but now that's the reality of owning a console. And with the console lifecycles becoming so long, games on the PC are becoming way better from a technology standpoint than what's available on consoles.

If you prefer a controller, Steams' new Big Picture mode and games supporting XInput (Xbox 360 controller support) essentially turns your PC into an uber console with more horsepower.

At this point the only real benefit consoles have are the Move on PS3 and Kinect on X360, and even that is really a preference thing (personally I find them to be useless gimmicks). The arguments can possible be made that consoles are cheaper in the long run, but with major specials running on Steam so often with games dropping up to 75% in price, I'm not always so sure.

So, as an owner of a PS2, GameCube, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, a gaming PC and several handhelds, I can tell you that my PC is used the most, and the consoles pretty much only play the exclusive titles. Anything multiplatform, I get on PC.

How does Xbox "give more when it comes to gaming"? There isn't anything you can do on an Xbox that you can't do on a PC.

Sure, you can anything on a PC you can do on an XBOX, but usually it requires another damn upgrade here, and another few GB of RAM there to get the best out of new games. Just find that with the Xbox, I dont have hassle. Dont get me wrong, I have been a PC gamer since the 1st Wolfenstein 3D, and loved it. Xbox just makes it so much simpler, for me, anyways.

That's absolute nonsense. The only benefit you can really say that consoles have over PC is ease of use, and even that is often debatable.

I have both a PC and an XBox. I use them for different games. On my XBox, I prefer my fighting, sports and racing games. On my PC, I prefer my strategy and shooting games. My gaming is more single player and LAN based than internet-based, and I work on a PC the whole day, so splitting my gaming experience works well to keep a balance.

With so many PC games going the online and Steam route (Shogun 2 Installation fiasco asside), I might just lean more towards the consoles (either one at this stage). Lack of Telkom line might also play a part.
