pc worked fine until the beginning of this week when this crap started happening.

when it stars again, do a back-up and format with a nice fresh copy of windows. if it still happen then its hardware but i am sure that will work the charm hey.

Is your PC being overclocked at all? This sounds like either an overclocked CPU or, my old friend, the "faulty RAM module" making an appearance. Try booting within only one RAM module. If it keeps doing it, swap the RAM module for another one. If it then stops doing it, you've found your problem.

Also, try booting without ANY extra hardware cards, such as that esata PCI card....

I dont overclock ! board, ram, cpu, psu were all bought brand new (so its not pre used item) it only has one 2 gid ddr2 module. (xp boots fine on the machine and so does ubuntu, its only windows 7 thats giving me problems)

It looks to me like a driver issue. Did you do a clean install of Windows after replacing all the components?

havent had time to troubleshoot but i'll check tomorrow, reinstalling is the very last option on my list of possibilities
