No Hobbits Allowed
Squeidosenix just confirmed that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum will not release until September 15 in North America and September 18 in Europe and Australia.

The console SKUs will hit on August 25 as planned.

The publisher also said today that the PC version will support Nvidia’s PhysX tech, which has allowed Rocksteady to “add that little bit extra” for PC fans, according to director Sefton Hill.

Shame they’ll have to wait longer than everyone else.

PR after the break. There’s a couple of PhysX-related screens through there as well.

Well another month won't hurt anyone tbh.

Yeah I also don't mind waiting for games. Batman: Arkham Asylum looks like it can be fun. I look forward to reading reviews of the game.

Since my Xbox is still dead looks like im waiting for this.
A Quick look at Wikipedia reveals the specs wont be rig crippling either.

Operating System Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista
CPU Intel single core 3 Ghz or AMD equivalent Pentium D 3Ghz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Dual core)
Memory 1 GB (Windows XP) ; 2 GB (Windows Vista) 2 GB (Windows XP) ; 3 GB (Windows Vista)

Graphics Hardware Shader Model 3 NVidia 6600 or ATI 1300 or higher NVidia 7900 GT or higher

So the console versions wont have this PhysX tech enabled? Do u guyz think this is the actual reason or just another Publisher worried about Piracy?

Rule #1: Never believe what publishers say.
Rule #2: Never believe what publishers say.

It's most likely delayed due to piracy so they can maximise revenues on the console sales.

PhysX is nice, not a huge selling point for the PC though. Sure, the soda cans will have realistic physics, but I doubt in anyone's mind that's worth waiting an extra month for.

This is an anti-piracy move for sure. I will still be waiting the extra month for the PC version because of the platforms other major strengths (I'm not talking about a pirated copy), which appeal to me =)

Not a big fan of Batman(last two movies was friggen awesome though)
But I'll still check this one out, looks to be good.

I love the Batman series. I enjoyed Batman Vengeance, even though it was a pretty crappy game, I really enjoyed the style of it, that 1930's Mafia kinda looking stuff is pretty cool.

I think it was done the same way the cartoon was done, i think it was on SABC3 for a while.
