Anybody want to go paintballing? :D

Let's do it ;) I suck though :p

Honestly, I don't get the love for the PS4 or Xbone. They're much more expensive in the long run than playing on a PC, and they have less useability. They're basically PC's without any of the benefits. Plug a controller in and hook up your PC to a TV, pay more for games and online services, and you have a Sony or Microsoft console.

It's why I like Nintendo. They aren't competing with Sony or Microsoft, they just do their own thing. Unlike most games on the PS4 or Xbone, you can't play Wii U titles anywhere else. In certain aspects, I do wish they would get with the times though, their online distribution services are bad. Seriously, who came up with the idea of tying games to a console, instead of a users account.

PC and Nintendo for me. It's the way to go ;)

The existence of Bloodborne justifies the existence (and love) of PS4. [emoji14]

Agreed! but PC is still my alpha platform

For me it's both, I love my PC and my PS4/Vita, and if I had the money I would have every console there is.

To me there is no war between platforms (not counting PS4 vs Xbone :P that's just personal preference)

Where the PC does outperform any console is when you start modding games, and for me that is key as I can always go searching for some high res mods for my older games.

Edit: Also its kinda crappy to surf "artistic model shoots" in the living room on my PS3 ;)

Actually it outperforms consoles in quite a lot more ways than that.

Just a couple I can think of now:

  • Almost always backwards compatible, all the way to the beginning, and even with some older consoles(!!!)
  • You get to choose your input method: Keyboard, Mouse, Controller, Flight Stick, Steering Wheel, Arcade Stick, motion controls, etc.)
  • You get to choose your output method: TV, Monitor, Multiple TV's or Monitors or any combination.
  • Much more versatile: Edit videos and images, make music, hell, make your own games, do a spread sheet, post on forums, the list goes on and on.

In the end, I think it comes down to: you get what you pay for.

I'm know I'm sounding like a broken record player here, but can you add Bloodborne to that list? No? Damn, PS4 still wins. :p

j/k

All platforms are equally awesome and have their own advantages and disadvantages. Even though exclusives are the main reason I own different platforms, I still enjoy gaming on all the platforms I have equally.

Exclusivity is developers being dicks, you can't fault the platform for that.
While I definitely agree with you to a certain extent, I do also like exclusives in the sense that they "force" me to use the different platforms that I own. Sometimes I get tired of sitting in front of my PC at my desk and sometimes I get tired of lazying around on the couch while gaming as well. You could argue that you can just connect a controller to the PC to get the same effect, but IMO it's just not the same as playing on an actual console. But like I said, each platform has its own strengths and weaknesses and all (the ones I own) are equal in my mind.

Also, can they get components for pc so that it is roughly the same form factor.
As that will change a lot too.
