Konami has announced Neymar Jr. is set to be the cover star of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, and promised a full game reveal on Friday, June 12.

Players who choose to pre-order the game will be able to use Neymar Jr. in myClub, more details on which will be coming in a couple of days.

“This is a real honour for me to be cover star for PES 2016" said the 23-year-old Brazilian. "The series has long been praised for its sheer level of control and utter realism and I am delighted to be working with such a talented team as Konami. I am fascinated by the huge amount of work involved in putting together the game and ensuring the world’s top players look and play just like the real things, and cannot wait to see myself in action as soon as possible.”

But can they use his real name in game? From what I remember the PES series had to rely on similar naming as it wasn't fully licensed.

I was starting to get worried that there was not gonna be another pes but thank god they still making it.Pes 2015 is the best football game I have played.

They're slowly getting better with their licensing. In previous games they've often had one or two teams fully licensed, but you normally find it in La Ligga or Bundasliga.

You've obviously never played PES14. But yeah, I couldn't care too much for the fancy looks, licenses and artsy-fartsy signature moves. In a game like this, it's all in the gameplay, and PES does it best!

The only divisions not licensed is the english and german leagues. The french,Spanish and Italian leagues are fully licensed also the south american leagues.I really am excited to see the improvements in the new title.

I find it comforting that almost everyone somewhat agrees that PES has the better gameplay mechanics.I'm really excited for the next game (I do play both FIFA and PES, mind you)
