Petrol Price to rise by 84 cents a litre

The price of unleaded 95 petrol will increase by 84 cents a litre on July 3, the energy department said on Friday.

The price of unleaded 93 petrol would increase by 84 cents a litre, and that of diesel with 0.05 percent sulphur by 78.2 cents a litre.

Diesel containing 0.005 percent sulphur would increase by 78.2 cents a litre.

The maximum retail price for liquid petroleum gas would go up 129 cents a kilogram.

Yeah, that's my cross to bare currently. Living in Pretoria and working in Joburg my petrol can be way up to about R4000 per month. Plus etoll is coming as well...

I sometimes have to work in PTA so it is about a 120km round trip. Driving like that I get about 5 trips on a tank and a tank goes for roughly R570 IIRC. So that's about R2300 if I had to do it every day.

Paying more for fuel sucks, what sucks more is the price of everything else going up due to transport costs.

The beauty of it is when the price goes down food and everything else stays the same.

Oh the pain of yet another huge increase. Something that could have been avoided if our Rand was not such a dog at the mo. I blame this on the ineptness of our government and henchmen toward our economy.
