Phone Repairs?

What up.

Ok so I have a problem. I have a Sony Ericsson C902.
I've always had a sony ericsson phone since 2005, and they have never given me problems (aside from switching itself off and on from time to time, which I can tolerate).

However, in the past 2 weeks, I have taken my phone in to Vodacom and all they do is "adjustments" and "upgrading the software". Now I'm not up to date with phones but surely if it is now going to be the 4th time i take my phone in surely they would click that i dont need adjustments and bloody upgrading of the software.

I've googled my phone for other problems similar and they all either say upgrade software or take in to repair.

Has anyone else had problems with vodacom's phone repairs or is it just me? Even though my phone is still under warranty cant they not do what apple does and swap my phone for a new one?

I'm seriously considering taking it to my lani's there at brightwater commons to fix

i have the same problems with my phone.... i have the W910i.... i have had a simcard replacement and have done the sotware replacement myslef and it does the whole switchin on and off every now and again. Lately it has been telling me "inactive sim". im not even bothering to take it in, i'll just hang on till upgrade time.

Well it switches itself off and i cant turn it back on, i have to plug it in to charge.

I've taken it in to them myself 3 times in the space of 2 weeks.
I'm just getting pissed off, my upgrade is only next year...

i've heard through the grapevine that the phones you and i have are problematic. phone them and log a complaint and then take the phone in again. its the only way to get it sorted or replaced.

So who do I phone? Vodacom or Vodacare?

Would it not be better to go in there and kak them out for not fixing my phone :)?

Where'd you buy the phone? Vodacom it self or from Nashua or Autopage or something like that? cause thats who you will need to phone.

Go to Vodacare Shop (if your on vodacom) and tell them your phone is faulty. Don't tell them of the on and off problem. Also tell them you so far they have upgraded the phone film and software for the 3de time. If they do that again you going to pull out your ak...

Wenzdayz: No its on contract with Vodacom, no Nashua or any crap like that.

Crzwaco: Ok so basically the same shop that has been "repairing" my phone? Ok I shall do so this weekend.

Thanks :)

What you also can do is let a female take in the phone. You would be surprised at the results.
Also when they sms you for you to come collect your phone, phone them first and ask what did they fix.
