Try updating your drivers. ATi and NVidia both recently released beta drivers that fix a directx9c bug which caused the flashing textures.
 
I want to play this but i just get sick of it so fast.

You can't win direct conflicts because a guy may be turning right while you are shooting at him and suddenly he telelports to your left and kills you instantly.

Snipping seems to be my sort of class,got into a base the other day and sniped at least 10 people.After that i hacked their AA gun and a base which is a bit behind the main one and managed to kill a fighter and damage a Lib.

That was all done within 1h and 30min which i only got around 15 certs for,damn slow.

I want the damn .50 Rams,how am i supposed to get 1000certs if i can't even get 100 in a day.

All these people and their cert boosters and paid for weapons,sigh.
 
I've been playing since the game came out, every day, I now have 28 000 odd certs. You just have to keep at it. I haven't bought any weapons and most weapons are just side grades really to suit a different playstyle.

As for guys teleporting, I'm with mweb, they have prioritised gaming traffic and added Planetside 2 to their their system so it really feels like I'm playing locally in za. Hardly ever have a problem with people teleporting.

As for the server merge... sheesh, game feels quite different now. So many more fights wherever you go. No empty base caps tonight although I guess it was prime time friday so I'll have to see what it's like next week.
 
Was going to play a little PS2, then I saw the update size being 7.5GBs. Suffice to say; I'm no longer interested in playing it.

I'm on Ceres,TR.My ingame nick is DCCarBound.

Sniping seems to be the best option for farming,especially when the enemy zerg takes cover in a well fortified base and your zerg just waits outside (easy targets everywhere)

Almost have 500Certs,saving up for the .50 Rams rifle which costs 1000certs.

I would love to get back to this game especially after the big changes they made over the last few updates.. it would be like a whole new game but i've got this backlog that i have to at least try and put a dent into :(

Nah,it's a bit better.

There have been heavy framerate drops for lower end systems in the recent update but other then that it seems fine.

The bug where you see the flickering sky and where enemies teleport left and right when they stand in front of you has also been fixed.

There have been some hackers here and there recently but nothing major,The Xman clan on Ceres being the likely ones.(Infinite cloak and shooting while cloaked,probably a bug but they are headshotting people 100m away that are cloaked and moving)(They changed cloaking so you can no longer see someone's silhouette while cloaked after around 30m or so.
 
Do you guys think the monthly sub is worth it?

R92 a month isn't much,if you take the 12m sub then it's R1070 a year.

It's pretty much the same as a WoW sub.

Not sure how long i will be playing PS2 though but i hope it gets bigger and more weapons and stuff is released.
