Playing on Android

How many Android gamers do we have here, and what are you playing?

I upgraded to an LG Optimus L5 at the end of last year, and have finished the free versions of Angry Birds Space and Star Wars, and am busy with a "match-3" type game or two.

I would have Puzzle Quest 2 on my L5, but my screen resolution is not supported [too low].

What have you been playing, is there anything like iOS Game Centre available for Android, or is the 'droid market too fragmented for that to be practical, and.....what do you think of the idea of MyGaming staff reviewing iOS and Android games now and then? [If in fact we don't create short reviews ourselves.]
 
I really like Rayman Jungle Run. It's a little bit buggy, but it's a lot of fun. Has kept me busy for quite a while. Very nice music and awesome graphics.
 
Must Haves
Bad Piggies is awesome! Completely different from the Angry Birds franchise (which I'm not a fan of).
Plants vs Zombies is always fun
Osmos HD is probably the best Android game I've ever played. Well worth money.
World of Goo is a classic, but would work better on a tablet I think.
Zynga Poker for all your poker needs.

Other fun games
Doodle Jump is another cool time killer game
Cut the rope is fun every now and then
Flick golf is fun once you've mastered it
Flight control gets hectic
Pool Masters is an ok pool game
TNTBF (They Need To Be Fed) is a good gravity platformer type game
UNO is surprisingly good
Zenonia can be an addictive JRPG to try out. But I see Zenonia5 is out now.... must check it out.....
 
Certain phone types have their own game hubs, but there isnt a dedicated one for android itself.

Below is a list of the stuff i mainly play. I have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more games for android but these are what i have on my note at the moment. Another tip though, is watch the Humble Bundles. Occasionally they do android bundles and you get some pretty sweet games from there for cheaper than what youd pay on the store for one of them.

I mainly play Plague Inc on my note 2. Its kind of like Risk, only with different types of plagues that you unlock as soon as you win with the previous plague. Simple and fun but can be quite hard if you dont plan your moves and timing right. Free, but you can unlock a few bonus features and stuff through microtransactions.

Another cool game i play is a gears of war style online shooter called ShadowGun:DeadZone. Online deathmatch style game, needs net to play though, so wifi is recommended. A few lag spikes here and there but an awesome game all around. Free

If you like online card games you can play either Cabals or ShadowEra. Both are SP or MP based collectible card games. Kind of like a mix between Yu Gi Oh, magic the gathering and Duelmasters. Both are fun and both are free.

If you like zombie shooter games and dont want to buy CoD: Zombies, you can get Dead Trigger. a fast paced zombie survival shooter. Great fun, though weapon progression is based heavily on micro transactions. Still great fun though and it has co op.

If you are a fan of minecraft, you can get the pocket edition for R50 odd off the store. I never played minecraft cause i thought it was stupid. My mate sat me down and made me play it on his note and i went the same day and bought it for my note, then got it on PC... then got it on Xbox... I LOVE it and its a cool time sink if you get your creativity on.

If you are looking for an online, WoW type game, Arcane legends is freakin awesome at the moment. It a free MMO, also with micro transactions, but they arent really needed. A bit difficult to get together with mates and play, but once you do it great fun

AND FINALLY!!! My absolute most favorite game of all time... Beat Hazard. If you get seizures from bright flashing lights you shouldnt play this, if you dont, PLAY TEH SH!T OUT OF IT>! Its a space invaders/rtype rhythm game that uses your own music to play. The faster the beat and tempo, the faster the gameplay becomes. amazing fun and listening to music at the same time is a win.
I recommend the paid version for this.

What really gets me about ingress, is the fact that I would go driving around and then the screen keeps turning off!!

FFS Google, that's the most basic thing to fix! Please do so quickly, or I may just remove this from my phone!

i have done so already. Theres no point playing the game when even getting XM requires a trip in the car for me.
 
I drove to the airport the other day, and just thought I would leave ingress on... but then the screen turns off and no xm is received...

Now I have 100% XM, what the hell do I do with it? Next step to go and hack portals? sounds boring!!!!!!

I told them in my review to add the stay awake option, lets hope they listen

There are 2 portals close to your house, go try it....... :D

Guys check out Stickman Base jump. So simple but so fun, gets pretty hectic when you need to do multiple base jumps to land on your target zone.
An awesome sitting on the pooper game can play one handed ha ha ha
 
I've been playing Hill Climb, Plague Inc, Angry Birds Star Wars. Also, I downloaded Max Payne on special and enjoy playing it from time to time. Its super fun, but very tricky controls and drains the battery very quickly.
 
Been playing fruit ninja mostly, but played most of the angry birds, construct X, world of Goo, lair defense: dungeon, alchemy.
Recently Saw ingress on a guy at works phone and thinking about trying it out aswell.
