I looks/sounds alot like pokemon.

I do like PSN's sales, you can get some awesome deals, and if you're a PS+ member, you get an extra 10% or so off the special price.

I got Black Flag and Last of us for around R300 and R330 each on the 12 days of christmas sale last month.

Black flag is normally R799, and Last of us is R739 (the version with the season pass that I got). I couldn't resist

EDIT: R305.10 for AC:BF and R332.50 for LOU to be exact

For that price I won't mind paying, even if it does come out later on PS+. Think the disc based game is still going for R299 (maybe less now) at BT or so.

That is true, i missed out on T.R. a few months back and kicked myself about it. Ag wat, it can sit in my backlog for now until i get to it :)

Just make sure you level a lot between story segments. Some areas will not allow you to go back and level which means you will end up stuck at a boss fight you can't beat. Luckily all those years of JRPG's got me in the habit of grinding levels.

Grappie! You just lost 50 hours plus of your life. More I think. I'm on 8 hours into the game and just passed Old Smokey. I've read people saying they have put over a 100 hours into this game.

I'm rather excited about playing the game now. Can you pick your fights in the game or is it a random encounter thing like the old pokemon games?

Well, you can see the monster on the map as you explore around, so you can try and avoid them if you want, but like Isengard set, best is to grind it out and level up otherwise you'll be stuck later on. Some monsters do try to run away from you though.

I think I clocked about 50 hours when I finished the game. There are still a ton of side activities I need to do.

thanks will do that, do you get XP when you capture the monsters? and can you capture more than 1 of the same kind of monster?

You do level up when you defeat them yes. Only a bit later on in the game can you capture them and make them a familiar. But first the monster has to fall in love with you after you beat them. JRPG's... gotta love them.

Haven't tried capturing two of the same though. I like my variety.
 
Not too sure how much of Outlast I'm gonna play, but really looking forward to seeing how it looks on the PS4. Also, Bioshock Infinite for PS3 and more Vita games. :D

Outlast terrifies me. I watched a bit of the footage on that one. Nope nope nope nope.
