Playstation Plus Thread

I always leave mine in rest mode, Didn't realize it would do updates as well! Will see when i get home! :D

Mine wasn't in rest mode, thankfully. We had load shedding from 12-2:30. I ran errands over that time, so I stopped off at home to eat, and started up the download. It should be done by the time I'm done work.

Downloading the update right now :D

Excited for the usb storage option!! gonna backup old games to the HDD and delete them from the PS4 for space.

I know that feels man, had the same issue when I upgraded my PS4's hdd, had to redownload everything. 200 odd gigs.

All we neeed now is, installing games directly to an external USB HDD! And run it from there

Ok seems you can only make a FULL backup of your data, cannot backup the games/apps individually. Which is kinda useless then :(

I wanted to only backup like 5 games that are not being played anymore, but not possible, you have to backup EVERYTHING

Aw damn, that sucks. I had hoped it would be more flexible, allowing you to move specific games back and forth

Sadly not hey. This feature is basically useless unless you are planning to upgrade your HDD, then yes.. backup everything up with this function is great.

I have noticed a bug, my PS4 does not switch my TV on automatically since updating to 2.50. Usually I could just hold down the PS button and my TV would turn on as well.

So you have a Sony TV?
Cos mine works fine, I can even control my ps4 with the TV remote.

Hmmm the backup thing seems ok to me, gonna upgrade my drive real soon since I'm down to 60GB free :(

Also, my PS4 is still turning my PC on when I power it up. Normal Samsung LCD running into HDMI1.

Well crap, there goes that idea... I have 3 500gb 2.5" drives I was hoping to use to backup my PS4s 1TB... Actually, I have a external raid (striped or mirrored) enclosure. Maybe I'm back in business. Will post my results when I get around to it.

Samsung smart tv, can also control my ps4 with the remote :D

But ja, I'll just switch the TV manually on, for now.

Please explain to me how this works? I tried last night and my TV definitely doesn't turn on when i push the PS button on my control to turn on the PS4...

IIRC you just need to enable HDMI passthrough if your TV supports it.
