Available exclusively to PS Plus members from tomorrow, March 10, the newly revealed Online Storage feature for PS3 will give each user 150MB of space to play with, allowing a maximum of 1000 game saves.

This all comes part of the new 3.60 firmware update that's also releasing tomorrow. I'm glad I signed up for plus over the weekend, it really is worth it.
 
I will definitely be making use of this feature :). If your PS3 dies the saved games that have been uploaded will be safe.
 
I assume play station plus is a service you pay for? If you don't pay for play station plus for a couple months, do they just block access to your saves for that period but keep them so you can gain access to them at a later stage?

Now come Xbox live, this would be a cool feature which would make the gold account more worth while.

If your PSN plus sub expires they keep your saves for 6 months, so you have time to resub :).
 
To be honest with all the crap older ps3 units have given they should make this feature available to everyone. Luckily i have psn plus already.
