Portal 2 available on Steam - who's getting it?

No, yesterday I tried the code on my steam account before I logged in on my PS3 and it said I first need to log in on my PS3 before I can redeem it. So it's locked to your Steam account, which makes sense obviously.

Aah ok. That kinda sucks though it does make sense. Meh, wanted to give it to someone who could actually use it.

Hmmm, won't it still work if I give it to someone who has a PS3 as well? They could just link their Steam account with PSN and use the code?

I guess you could log in with someone else's Steam account on your PS3 and then they could link it to that account.
 
LOL, I'm such an idiot. :p Obviously it won't work if I just give the code to someone with both a PS3 and PC since they need the PS3 version in order to link PSN and Steam.
 
When somebody plays Portal 2 on PS3 it say on your friends list "Friend" playing Portal 2 on PS3
 
i agree. guess ill give the code to someone and make them a psn account as a gift. just soo many people who i know want it

Think I'm gonna do the same, I have no use for the code myself. Now I just need to figure out who I am going to give it to ...

Dude, give your code to the other of your 2 choices then I'll give mine to Prophet.

Regarding tonight: I've got a Killzone 3 clan match tonight, but we can definitely do some co-op after that. Match starts at 21:00 so it'll probably go on 'till about 22:30 or 23:00. I just hope PSN comes back online before then, it seems to be completely offline ATM.

Yeah I will, but PSN is down ATM so it's not gonna do much good. I can give him the code, but I can't link it to a PSN account since I can't create one right now.
