Post the Crysis 2 Multiplayer Hackers/Cheaters here

Just so the admins of the various local servers can get an idea of how big the problem is, post the nick of the player who has been caught hacking in Crysis 2 Multiplayer. Tonight we came across a guy who got caught out pretty badly and it was pretty obvious to all of us that he was hacking. His nick:

MegaGlad

Neo, wouldn't it be better for admins to deal with this sort of thing after they investigate it properly? To name and shame here is not appropriate.

I have to concur with Fivel, it's a bit off sides to go naming accused hackers on a public forum without having any proof. Rather report the username directly to a designated admin so that they can investigate.

To continue with this, I know that some of the very good players such as toOken (SkyRamboZA) have been unfairly accused of hacking just because they are that good. It's just plain wrong!

Tinman, I agree that some people might be childish - but I'm posting this in the hopes that we, as mature mygaming members, can warn each other about cheaters. Seriously, I don't know if you left the server last night or were still on it when we played, but MegaGlad openly cheated and everyone agreed - so there's no need to wait for an admin to investigate this - he cheated and people need to know about it.

I reckon, rather ask the guy to admit that he is hacking, to at least keep his dignity. Otherwise, if he is adamant that he is not cheating, report his sorry @ss to an admin, ASAP.

But dude, he was shooting and staying in cloaked mode and was also moving at "super speed". Those are some of the most well known hacks in the game AND his ping suggested that he was an international player. Oh, did I mention his epic K/D ratio? That's what got him caught - he scored the "winning kill" and then everyone saw the kill-cam how he shot the guy running toward him at super speed whilst cloaked AND not going out of cloaked mode when shooting.

I don't know - I'm a mature player when it comes to online playing. I'm not going to accuse everyone of hacking just because I'm having an "off" night - but sometimes you need to call a spade a spade and notice the obvious things that are happening. Everyone on the server saw him hacking, everyone started shouting at the guy and he eventually left the server without saying a word - BECAUSE HE WAS CAUGHT.

So now I'm doing you guys a favor to let you know that if you see him online again, he'll probably be cheating, AGAIN.

If a person is standing over a dead body, covered in blood with a smoking gun in his hand, it doesn't take a fire-krotch'ed detective with sunglasses to see what happened.

I don't know why is is so difficult to prove that a guy cheats, in the past with the original Ghost Recon I was once asked in game to provide a screenshot with the request on display. I had a particularly lucky streak and people were suspicious, but once I had e-mailed the screenshot, no further complaints were heard.
It seems that anti-cheat programs are not completely successful, but a screenshot will not lie. With most apps nowadays that provide screenshot captures, this should not be a difficult task.

Ok fine, so he was cheating. Obviously, lol :D

Just to add: if we do spot a hacker on the local servers. What is the procedure to get the guy banned from playing? I can't play with FRAPS running the whole time - it's annoying. Screenshots won't do you any good either. Then there's another question; is it even possible to ban a player from joining the servers again?

You can't always record everything that a player does during a match, but if a lot of people agree that the guy was hacking, why can't we ban that player and he/she can argue their point to the admins - if they're innocent in the first place.

Something I'd like to add: In a game where you can get super speed, super armor, jump extremely high and even go invisible - all legally - Why the HECK are people still hacking?

Neo, perhaps you should address these concerns with the admins on the servers, there are defined processes to follow for good reason. No-one is suggesting that you are wrong - just follow the process. The processes are there to protect players who are unfairly accused of being hackers. How would you like it if someone accused you of hacking and you were then banned for it before it was properly investigated.

Bleh. Whatever guys.

Mark my words. Hacking and cheating will become so rampant in this game that NO ONE will be able to enjoy it again. And when that happens, I'm going to refer you back to this thread.

Geez dude, where do you see anyone supporting cheating or hacking.

I don't know dude, I don't think it will become "rampant".. It will become like any other online game where people do cheat, it's inevitable. But I do agree with Fivel that following the processes is a better way of doing it. Luckily for us, the people in charge of the local servers we play on are awesome and would address these issues when we inform them. Just keep a list of these players for yourself though, so you can spot them when they come online again and report them. I'm sure the admins will find someone to report it to where further actions can be taken. Namely banning the crap outta them.

For EA games, you can report them to a guy called Shane. I've had two idiots banned before on BC2 still. Screenies worked there because they were banned for language abuse.

If a server admin from say iGame or WAGE bans you, he is only banning you from their servers. If EA bans you, there are three types of punishments. Firstly stat reset. Basically, for minor offences and first time offenders. Then you get a solider ban. This when they ban the specific game you are playing, such as BC2 or Crysis or whatever. You would need to buy a new game again to play. Then lastly, the blanket ban. This is when your entire account at EA is deleted and banned. Your email address is voided and any game you had registered under that email address is now also banned. So, you need to rebuy all your BF games, crysis etc etc and register with a new email.

There is a reason why procedures need to be followed. You can not simply come onto a public forum and say I suspect or even blatantly accuse player xyz of hacking. It is wrong and wouldn't surprise me if it could technically be deemed defamation of character. Report him to the relevant authorities and make it their problem. I know screenies can't always work sadly and recording via fraps is impractical. This is the one thing COD:Blops had right, the built in recording. If though you can't or won't provide proof, then I'm afraid you have no say. You can come post some pics or vids and ask other to confirm your suspicions, but you can't simply say that so & so is hacking without proof dude. Obvious or not.

You can however and with great pleasure name and shame a player if you followed procedure and he has been banned. Personally, I would skip server admins and go straight to EA and get him banned permanently. A ban from a server isn't enough in my opinion.

You can report suspected violators to: [email protected]

Okay well my first game of the night and AGAIN someone hacking. super speed running whilst shooting everyone IN CLOAKED mode. His nick is: "nk 16 lee62"

I'm done with this game's multiplayer. Unless some local server admin with actual BALLS can come forward and ban these guys from our servers.

Did you report it?

Didn't notice this thread until now
We are literally currently forced to report hackers to EA directly, as banning a tthis present time is not an option supported.
But..... and there is always a but, we are awaiting final word to activate the new patch which I'm told will dramatically reduce issues as well as eliminate most hacking in the game.

And, btw :P
We have balls, big solid steel ones
