Post the Crysis 2 Multiplayer Hackers/Cheaters here

Didn't notice this thread until now
We are literally currently forced to report hackers to EA directly, as banning a tthis present time is not an option supported.
But..... and there is always a but, we are awaiting final word to activate the new patch which I'm told will dramatically reduce issues as well as eliminate most hacking in the game.

And, btw :P
We have balls, big solid steel ones

You sir, have my gratitude. These hackers are driving me nuts (clearly). I just hope EA sorts this out before BF3 is released. I'll go mental if I encounter a hacker on BF3

Best you get out the little red and green pills then, because I guarantee BF3 will have hackers, just like any online game will always have hackers. Hackers are as certain as death and taxes. Wherever you have an online game, you will find hackers. I agree the anti cheat systems seem to be less and less effective these days, but that might also just be because more and more players are firstly playing than before and secondly as a result of more players, there are more hackers. Also, anti cheat systems are only as effective as their last update and they can only be updated once a new exploit/hack is discovered.

Just a quick question if I may, what good will naming and shaming a "confirmed" hacker do? Especially if said hacker is an international player. The only course of action would be to send a complaint to the Gamesmaster of the server in question. No one likes hacker but let's be honest, they're all over the place. I can't speak about Crysis 2 because I still haven't been able to play a single round of multiplayer but in all the online games I've ever played there have been hackers. PunkBuster, VAC, etc simply can't detect all the hack being released daily. I just wish the game developers were as on the ball as the guys who develop the hack :) Imagine that...

Well, the last time I heard, the anti-cheat developers wait a while once a new patch is out, so that when it is released, they can catch more players in one go. While this sounds okay on paper, in reality it is kak. Coders are writing new hacks daily and hackers are constanting updating, thus staying ahead of the anti-cheat and us innocents have to put up with the shit. I think it is a cheapskate route the Punkbuster et al guys take.

Densweep, you're not helping the positive attitude I'm trying to have about this. lol. Like Xerowing said, there's no way to ban hackers yet on the servers and everything has to go to EA for now. That, to me, sounds like EA is already "sort-of" neglecting their PC customers by not having something proper in place. We'll see how it goes, and for now I'll just leave the session when I see someone is hacking - at least that way I can keep my temper in check.

Is that why you left last night when you joined on that server we were playing on? :p

Dude, you are not alone, no one here wants to have hackers/cheaters on the system - but to let to get to you to that extent is a little OTT (IMHO).

Yeah Neo, true man.

I just want to say, please don't think we're "gangin" up on you or something and that we don't agree with you. We do agree with you, obviously, and I think we all feel the same, in that we want to name and shame the bastards, but the right thing to do is to report them to EA. In that way, we protect the names of the legit players, but also get justice. Everyone wins :)

TBH - I wouldn't even know how to spot a hacker. I'm so busy trying to avoid dying that I hardly notice these things...but that's just me.

Neo, no, exactly the opposite, trust me on this, EA and specifically the guys from Crytek are working on something revolutionary, in an attempt to level the playing field for the game. This would have been live already if there were no issues detected. They are troubleshooting the issues though and as soon as they release we should see a dramatic difference in not only this game, but if other developers put in the time and effort Crytek are investing, the entire online landscape as we know it.

That sounds very encouraging. Hope they fix their issues.

No dude! lol I left the first one because my wife had dinner ready and I didn't want to risk getting divorced. I played again a bit later on as well and finally got the hang of the stupid "grendel" gun - it's muuuuch better in single-shot mode.

Haha ah ok, I was wondering where you went :D

Dude, that Grendel is a weird gun.. The first time I played with it I was thinking to myself "Omf, what a piece of crap!" But after a while I started getting used to it and it's not all that bad. The only thing I hate is that you can't open fire in close range.. It's got similar gunplay to a shotgun as you have to time your shot's just right and you have to be quite accurate. A reflex scope on that thing is quite lethal though and the long range 3 round bursts do some hectic pawning. But otherwise, I'm still waiting to try out the third assault rifle, but I need 1 more level. If it's anything like that electro magnetic sub machine pellet gun, I'll stick with the SCAR or Feline :D

Once again, have you reported this?

Fivel....The local server admins cannot do anything and EA is apparently busy "working on a fix" for this. So honestly, the BEST thing we can do for now is to post their nicks here.

Here's another one. He was on the iGame BRONX servers just now: X Dutchould.

He was using the standard hacks. Invis whilst shooting, super speed running etc.

Here's another guy on the iGame servers.

ED.DEVIL

I think I'm going to completely stop playing this game unil EA get their act together to stop these hackers. At the moment it's a joke.
