Post the Crysis 2 Multiplayer Hackers/Cheaters here

what proof do we have that they really cheated ? i mean i can come in here and say neo is a cheating fuck without anything to back it up. look i know you wouldn't necessarily lie, but seriously.

:e
i see i missed it:
Neo, wouldn't it be better for admins to deal with this sort of thing after they investigate it properly? To name and shame here is not appropriate.
I have to concur with Fivel, it's a bit off sides to go naming accused hackers on a public forum without having any proof. Rather report the username directly to a designated admin so that they can investigate.

Prophet: the "proof" that we have is that I'm an honest online gamer who does not support cheating and hacking on multiplayer games, or on anything for that matter. Sorry, but if you think that the people on this forum are so untrustworthy that you cannot take their word when they state someone hacked/cheated on a game - then you really shouldn't be on here mate. You're being a two-faced bastard calling yourself a fellow forumite.

We're supposed to be a supporting group/culture here on MyGaming - if you cannot handle that and you'd rather try to bring in a divide between people, please, Leave.

it's not only you, what if sexylegs69 comes in and say freak99 is a poepol. how do we know ? it's exactly the same kak as with that other site where woman could come on and say man X was a dick. even if you get 90% true cases, you would still have 10% that is not and becomes social blackmail ftw.

Perhaps we can get some guidance from our WAGE or iGame admins here on what the most appropriate way forward here is in the interim.

I'm afriad I can't really dictate how the community deals with this in broader terms
Yes, both sides have vaild points, naming the "suspected" hackers publicly, sure that might keep a track record of who is doing what, but as Prophet has mentioned they can only be regarded as potentially hacking until proven otherwise.

We wil be going live with an initial test base of the system implemented by Crytek on Monday, this will hopefully start eliminating the need for debate around the subject.

On a side note, catching a hacker is one of the thoughest things any server administrator has to do.
The community lists or reports someone to the admin. The admin then investigates the suspected hacker himself, by spectating , reviewing and pulling data and logs from the servers in question.
Once all evidence is gathered a decision is made that the evidence on hand is strong enough to warrant a ban.

All this time, the admin, specifically my team, already knows what will follow.
Once the ban is enforced, without fail the suspected hacker will lodge a formal query into the ban, contesting his/her innocence.
This leads in many cases to heated comments from the player in question, in some cases even from the suspected hackers' parents and family.

The iGame admins have dealt with cases like this numerous times and we take the matter very seriously, we follow a strict work ethic system where every player is assumed to be innocent of the charges against him until proven otherwise.

I saw another guy last night that was shooting me while he was cloaked. Int his instance it's REALLY easy to know he hacks because you CANNOT by any means shoot while you're cloaked without the cloak disabling. I just left the server and stopped playing altogether.

be expecting feedback on the new system :)

My vote is that it will be shyte.

You build a game with cheating in mind, not apply a patch afterward.

Especially if its just a server side patch. been there, done that.

I played for about 10min this weekend, i logged on, it seemed some guy had inifinite ammo for his grenade launcher. Does anyone know anything about this? I got over it and stopped playing. Was enjoying this game until this point.

You can't tell me that you believe everyone on these forums is innocent? Yeah, I would like to believe that, but that would be naive. And no, I'm not saying you are lying by accusing okes here, but you are walking a very thin line. If I were accused here without proof, I would raise an almighty stink. I would suggest if you wish to proceed naming players that you start producing screen shots or even better, videos of said hacking.

Overall though, welcome to online multiplayer folks. Hacking is getting worse in my opinion and will only continue to do so. The sad fact is the current anti cheat systems are outdated and clearly do not work effectively. Yes, they catch some okes, but there are newer hacks each day to circumvent previous anticheat systems.

You know what dude, bear with me here. Just as a disclaimer, this isn't directed at you Den.

I also agree that we need to have some proof before we accuse, but here's the thing. Saying "Welcome to online gaming" etc is definitely not helping. And I will tell you why. Back in the day, at LANs, when a hacker got caught, he either got the living shit beat outta him, or his PC was destroyed and thrown out, along with his sorry ass.

People are taking waaaay to kindly to hacking these days. "Ag, it's ok, it happens" or "I suppose there is nothing we can do about it". Really? So we're basically just letting this one slide. Just like we're doing with everything else in the world these days? Crime, can't help it- it happens. Just deal with it? How about hell no. How about starting to actually give a crap again?

Hacking is NOT cool. It is NOT ok. Nor is stealing, scheming and deceiving people. If you can't achieve something by working for it, THEN GTFO!! Seriously. When are these idiots going to learn THAT YOU'RE NOT ACHIEVING ANYTHING BY CHEATING?!

Then we get a thread like this. It would be awesome to report these fools, name and shame them, but then- you endanger the reputation and honor of those that play fair and play hard. Which is VERY unfair. How did we end up in a situation where people are cheating, but everyone is too scared to do or say something about it? I'll tell you why. It's because we're too damn scared to stand up for things these days. There is noone that can do anything against these cheating bastards, and they KNOW it. That's why they do it, and they will continue doing it until some starts giving a shit!

So, please, just be more vigilant. If you see someone hacking- stop what you're doing and start recording a video or taking screenshots. If people want to sit around and watch this happen and just think "Oh well" then you are clearly not part of the solution, so bugger off then! People should really start harden the hell up towards cheating in games. It's just as good as stealing and cheating in any other thing in life. NOT ON GUYS!

I can't think of how you can sit there, in front of your PC, and cheat and not feel bad about it. Shame on you. You should feel bloody ashamed of yourself. You are scum and the world needs way less people like you.

Thanks to people like you, noone can enjoy the game. Thanks you you, people now think that "Everyone's doing it" and I can't play my game. I was accused of hacking again, THREE damn times last night and by the end, I must say, it was starting to piss me the hell off. I'm getting annoyed even thinking about it now.

Please, go take a look at yourself and please try to see how your selfishness is ruining it for everyone. You're not only spoiling their games, but you are spoiling the time people have, free time, that they spend on entertainment. All you want to do when you play games is relax and have fun, and these people are spoiling that. What scum!

I agree Took, but again, there isn't much we can do about it ourselves other than to report suspected players. BUT, you need to substantiate your accusation. Excuses like "I've been playing for years and know a hacker when I see one" doesn't qualify. Or "It's so fraking obvious" or "Look at his score, he must be hacking" or "everyone else also thought so" are not proof that a player is hacking. Hell, even screenshots are not always realiable. How is a screeny going to prove some is using a aimbot or wall hack or whatever?

As for hackers in general, as long as you have anonymity in online gaming, you will have hackers. As long as that 16 year old snot nosed brat living in his posh house knows you can't trace him, he will continue to hack. Blizzard wanted to do away with the whole anonymous avatars and link them to your real life name and surname. People complained BIG time and they backed off, but I reckon it can only serve to improve things. Why are people so scared? What have they got to hide?

Because the quality of people these days is rapidly degrading, and they want to be anonymous so they can cheat, and they don't even feel bad about it. Sometimes I really think there are too many people on this planet and that humanity is getting seriously bored with itself.

I think some big publisher ala, Activision or Blizzard or someone should make user accounts real life based. I'm not saying it will totally eliminate, let's generalise everything under one term, idiocy, but it will kerb it to a degree. Suddenly you will think twice about calling someone a **** or telling him about his mother. Because now, he can find out who you are and where you live...

Julle ouens het dan nog nie eers saam met ons gespeel nie!

But like the people are going on these days, calling me a hacker the whole time, I'm actually starting to believe it :( :D

I Usually stick to clannies or Private s&d servers, it's much more chill there.
openserver kidddie mentality:
You shoot an oke, you are a hacker
You top score, you are a hacker
You tank an oke, you are a hacker
You throw a random nade, that bounces on the roof of a building, rolls down the gutter, get's swept up by the forcewind of a passing valkyrie rocket, drops onto a ledge, balances for 2 seconds and the exact instant it drops and explodes an enemy runs past, you are a hacker.
An oke runs to the same spot 6 spawns in a row, exact same spot so you anticipate an 8th, epic wallbang, you are a hacker.

Its funny in the beginning being called a hacker, but it gets freaken irritating, specially if they get personal
