Post the Crysis 2 Multiplayer Hackers/Cheaters here

I proudly accept such praise. When accused that only means I'm playing well and irritating the shit out of someone. Mission accomplished!

En Map, al rede hoekom jy weet ons hack is omdat jy ons geleer het...

I Usually stick to clannies or Private s&d servers, it's much more chill there.
openserver kidddie mentality:
You shoot an oke, you are a hacker
You top score, you are a hacker
You tank an oke, you are a hacker
You throw a random nade, that bounces on the roof of a building, rolls down the gutter, get's swept up by the forcewind of a passing valkyrie rocket, drops onto a ledge, balances for 2 seconds and the exact instant it drops and explodes an enemy runs past, you are a hacker.
An oke runs to the same spot 6 spawns in a row, exact same spot so you anticipate an 8th, epic wallbang, you are a hacker.

Its funny in the beginning being called a hacker, but it gets freaken irritating, specially if they get personal

Yup, last night okes were calling me a p-face, c**t, etc. You name it, I got called it. Then they keep asking me why I'm hacking and I couldn't help but laugh. I was actually getting really irritated and angry, but that just ended up in me owning them even harder :p.

yup thats the best part cause they get worked up so badly, and you are canning yourself, tears of crying cause, you know how he must be freaking out on the other end :D

Hahahaha, yeah. Luckily I had some mates jamming with me on TS and they were just laughing their behinds off at these okes. Of course I had to say something back to one of the guys eventually (he was getting owned 5/15 the whole time) and he rage quit :D Rofl.

so ietsie net vir julle drie :

maplas
you get that in a lot of mp games. player does good, player must be dem haxor !.

If some oke really carries on, I tell him must please report me then if it will make him feel better. Normally don't get a comeback from that.

I just got hold of the Anticheat config file. Much fail Crytek. Already in the public domain and the fixes are of ductape nature.

Corne, would you mind explaining what this means for those of us not so technical peeps?

To quote myself from MyADSL:

Its so easy to hack its not even funny.

Within 15 minutes of looking I had a SCAR with faster fire rates, higher damage, less recoil and spread. (Retail version 1.1) And thats just a bit of XML editing...

I am still waiting to see what Crytek's fix is going to be for this. I find it extremely funny that they want apply patches afterwards instead of designing the game with hacking in mind from the start. I mean, simple example, damage is not something you calculate client side and send to the server. Never.

Before I get the "Hacker!" flaming... I ran IS' Crysis Wars servers for the last two years which I used to create a server side anti-cheat DLL that is now used on 150+ Wars servers worldwide. Last year October it was used in a Crytek sponsored ESL tournie as well. So ja, its something that interests me.

Like to0kenZA said, the information is already out on the web and just from the config file you can already see what they are checking for. Here's a convo I had last night with a compadre:

[18:58] Corné: Buyaaaaa
[18:59] *DarkLite>XI<: Hey
[18:59] Corné: The all new spectacular anticheat from Crytek was released today
[18:59] Corné: Wanna laugh?
[18:59] Corné: I have the config file for it
[18:59] <Requesting file transfer. Waiting for response>
[18:59] <Uploading file Fail.xml>
[18:59] <Completed uploading file Fail.xml >
[19:00] * *DarkLite>XI< checks date
[19:00] *DarkLite>XI<: no, not april 1
[19:00] Corné: Nope, this is actually serious
[19:00] *DarkLite>XI<: lol wtf is this.
[19:00] Corné: hehehe
[19:00] *DarkLite>XI<: they're actually using
[19:00] *DarkLite>XI<: heuristics.
[19:00] *DarkLite>XI<: oh god.

Why does Darklite laugh about heuristics? Its circumventable and prone to producing false positives.

Okay so first off, since I started this topic I guess I have one last say. I must say that I have no idea why this thread was sticky'fied. Since everyone thought it was a lame idea to post cheaters nicks, it kinda baffles me that this topic is even still open. So LOL, I guess?

I've come to terms with the epic cheating that's happening on this game. It's not just on our servers, it's all over the freaking place. It's become quite apparent that after the 1.2 patch has been released, EA is unable to stop these cheaters because crytek are, what seems like, a bunch of console'ized noobs and have lost their creative genius when it comes to making games for the PC market. That explains the archaic graphics and the lame "anti cheat" attempts.

In closing, I'd like to state that this was a very fun multiplayer game. I think they had the right idea and it definitely had potential to gain some popularity. Unfortunately, as most PC gamers have known for a while, our platform usually fails when it comes to the execution of the game/genre. Ideas are awesome, pulling it off usually sucks.

I can only hope that Battlefield 3 (when it's finally released) does not fall prey to these hackers in the way that Crysis 2 did. I completely understand that there will be hackers on Battlefield 3, just like there were on Battlefield 2 ...but I've never seen cheating as rampant in a game than I saw in Crysis 2. This thread actually sucks donkey balls because I stopped posting on this forum every day due to my over "enthusiastic" personality which caused me to go off on a tangent every 5 minutes.

I think I'll back off again and only post something when it can add value. Even if that means I'll only post once a month. At least you all know how I feel about these cheaters on Crysis 2. :D

Cheers guys.
