I do the same thing, got 400 odd HD images that cycles every minute between my laptop screen and my external screen. So I have 2 beautiful images always staring back at me when jumping around the desktop. I have a few things on there that should stay hidden for now so no screenshots. I can't be arsed to hide them in folders any more as I constantly overwrite the files and then upload them so it just becomes a pain to keep it too neat. still no more than 20 icons at a time , i want to see my desktop, not stare at icons :S

That's why I make use of small icons in my Start menu and those in my quick launch bar.

My home desktop . . . You can see I REALLY hate clutter. Even the shortcuts folder irritates me some days
 
All of you have too many icons on your desktop.i have nothing not even the recycle bin. I like looking at a nice wallpaper.will post mine on friday
 
Hehe you guys are funny. I don't mind desktop shortcuts at all because I never see the desktop except on startup. :)
 
I can only post mine once I get home from vacation.
Tapatalk only loads some of the images posted, so I can't even view them all
