Cats are notorious for being jealous and selfish when babies are involved.

At first she didn't really come near him, and when he cried she would look all anxious and leave the room.

Now though, she sometimes comes up to him to have look, and then she will chill nearby for a bit. We make sure to still give her (the cat) attention though, because we don't want her to feel like the baby is getting all the love and attention.
 
Look at the wagging tail!!! And she's eating my socks which I did not try and steal back from her! She is ecstatic!

Hehe no! She's my baby!!! That was on her 2nd birthday, about 6 months ago. Bad quality photo, but yes, she is beautiful. You Layla is also a good looking Bassett, I love them with the big faces and noses!

Haha yeah she's about 18 months now, she's massive, eats a shit ton though:D
