his thread aims to showcase your Torchlight characters. Post screen shots of your awesome character and show us what you got.


How to:
1. Press print screen while in the game. Try get your character's pose looking as good as you can.
2. Save as a JPEG.
3. Upload to Zoopy (www.zoopy.co.za) or other image hosting site.
4. Paste Screenshots here.

lol Maplassie. Great thread lordspaceman! Even though I've been telling everyone to get Torchlight, I've only been playing the demo and will only buy it later in the year. Got to finish my current games first. :)
 
Ack ! I'll have to level my guy up a bit first - just started playing last night... only on level 2 now. Will see what I can manage this weekend.
 
How is torchlight? Would you guys say its worth playing? I mean 8 days to DA:O...and borderlands out already? Should I attempt to juggle another RPG?
 
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Torchlight is just as addictive as Diablo/Diablo II/World of Warcraft.

It's not a Blizzard game by any means, but it reeks of Blizzard graphics and gameplay down to it's core (maybe cause the devs are ex-Blizz employees).

Torchlight is very addictive and will hold you over for the next big thing in hack n slash RPGs, which is Diablo III.

Dunno about comparing it to Dragons Age: Origins. Torchlight doesn't take itself as seriously as that, but it does provide ample amounts of addictive clicking fun. Casual and Hardcore WILL lap this up bigtime.

The ONLY 1 downfall - no multiplayer/co-op - but that it. But I reckon we might see something in a future expansion.
 
Actually quite keen for this now... will have to give it a go.

I don't know if I'd bank on it tiding you over till Diablo III thought - I dunno if I can play a game for the expected 20 years till D3's release.

well its a classic dungeon crawl top down game. its not the latest ZOMG graphics agines, but that does not mean it is ugly. infact i would say it renders quite beautifully. it is defintly a game for those who can enjoy a game for what it is without the red tape if it must be this or it must be that...

+1. I am actually now looking forward to this :)
 
It's pretty fun - it's done by the brothers who did Diablo (item balancing and stuff) and the developer of the game Fate (which shines through on the graphic side). Low on story and high on hack and slash action. If you like Diablo and Fate go for it. I like it and it's fun so far and not comparable to Dragon Age at all ...
 
Actually I would suggest hard in this game. Its just TOO much running right through the creeps for my taste when I'm playing my destroyer on normal
