Pre-load RAGE on Steam and get a free upgrade

Asaik if you preorder you get the Anarcy edition in anycase and since you got to preorder it to be able to predownload the game, so don't get where the free upgrade is.

Either way, with the rand at it's current level it's cheaper to buy from a retailer than from Steam atm. R486 on Steam vs R329 at Kalahari... :/

Going to wait for reviews and your guys opinions before I get this. There are just too many games coming out at the moment for me to get it without making sure its worth it.

Presumably once the game goes live on Friday, you'll be paying $60 for the game WITHOUT the added items. Hence, the added items from the Anarchy Edition are a "free" upgrade for those who pre-order.

Unless you're not aware that "pre-order" and "pre-load" are one and the same thing on Steam - seeing as it would be a bit silly to purchase the game and then wait until friday to download the game. Considering that Steam allows you to load it as soon as you buy it, and all.

But yes, the only real benefit of getting RAGE via Steam seems to be the instant playability the minute the game launches; personally I don't see that being worth R150 more, but to some people it's a must.

The "Free upgrade" still don't make since in this title since well its not a upgrade its something you get point. If the game was released and you got the upgrade then, then it was a "free upgrade"

Fair enough, but it's added content at the same price as the package would have been *without* the added content. Hence, gratis.
