Pretoria name change clarity soon

Clarity on the Tshwane/Pretoria name change issue could be expected soon, the Pretoria News reported on Friday.

It quoted mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa as saying a decision on the matter would be announced within weeks by Arts and Culture Minister Paul Mashatile.

Ramokgopa said a name change report for the capital city would be tabled at the Tshwane Metro Council's monthly meeting next month.

Pretoria, Tshwane, I don't care what the name is, just the enormous sums of money that go into renaming the cities and streets...

Ugh this is such a crap idea. AIDS orphans, sky high crime, health system in utter chaos, roads falling apart, power supply shot....and the powers that be decide that renaming streets & cities is what we're going to focus on?

A monkey throwing darts at a board randomly would result in better prioritization...
