Prince of Persia, Alan Wake, Blur and Split/Second all undersell in May

I'm not surprised, because AFAIK, Alan Wake is mostly a single player and therefore I suspect quite a number of people will play a cracked version of Alan Wake, whereas RDR for instance has online play and cracked won't work. That or Alan Wake is a kak game and nobody wants it? I wouldn't know, as I'm a PS3 owner.

I often wonder they could tweaked the pricing to increase sales, if they would end up making more money? So instead of making 10$ profit per unit, they make $6.50, but sell double the amount of games and end up making more cash. I guess you would have to be more involved in the industry to really know.

Honestly TM i can see why Split/Second undersold it was barely Advertised and the first time i saw it getting some public action was on the NAG Disk other than that i was shocked at how Disney didnt give it some public attention... but oh well i guess its their loss to be quite honest :)

Well all of those games got middling review scores. Alan Wake was a bit of a disappointment; PoP was a throwback; Blur kind of disappeared from view somehow.

Is what I've said so many time before. Instead of selling 100 units at a $10 profit and making a thousand bucks, rather sell double the number if not more when selling for half price or half margin. YOu make the same profit, get a LOT more exposure of your product and start owning some market share. Another upside is, suddenly it is less worthwhile for people to pirate the games and there is even more revenue that is pure profit, because instead of 50 people copying the game and not paying a cent, you have an xtra 50 sales.

Now it's obviously not quite as simple as this, but to also charge R700+ for AAA titles also smacks of greed.
