Project Zomboid developers burgled, “major set-back” suffered

Um, SVN repository, Dropbox, SkyDrive, Live Mesh, so many options for external backup there is NO EXCUSE for not having done so.
 
I think the backlash they received was unnecessarily cruel, but I also find it hard to believe that they wouldn't make external backups of more than 3 months' worth of work. :/

Like not even a DVD in a safe deposit box. :) It's sad their shit got stolen and getting robbed is never your fault BUT losing all that work is definitely their fault.
 
Yes SVN repositories are the shizz. Especially when you have multiple developers working on a single project. They should. And all good developers know "KEEP YOUR WORK BACKED UP AT ALL TIMES!!!". Better luck next time XD
 
Why are we defending this guy? I have become really skeptical of Project Zomboid and so is the rest of the internet community. We initially defended the guy but more and more it seems like paypl was right.
 
I feel just a little bad for these okes.
So much shit in such a short space of time.

Everything else was out of their control, but I agree with most folks. No excuse EVER to not have backups of work.
