Protip: don't upgrade your graphics card yet

I am in need of an upgrade i downgraded last year cause i didnt need the power at the time, went from a GTX 480 to GTX 285, mistake of note. Now i want to get into current gen cards, was going to pick up to GTX 580s and not wait for nVidia's new range. I dont really buy AMD/ATi GPUS cause for some strange reason they tend to crash my AMD setup. Wierd, i know.

I'd say that that would be a waste of money. Rather wait for another generation or two. Your current configuration should still eat any upcoming game for breakfast.

I am never happy with Gpu's lol..I almost always find fault and you're quite right.

When gaming, lets take BF3. 6970 vs GTX580 @ 1920x1080
There is roughly 10-15 fps difference and that is really not noticable.

Good advice, I'll hang in there with my 4890 till it bugs me :p I can live without all the bells and whistles turned on :)
